Topic: Working For Families Lump Sum??? Posted: 18 July 2008 at 9:54am |
For those of you who claim your WFF as a lump sum at the end of the financial year, have you heard from the IRD yet how much they owe you?? I have heard nothing, I thought you received the payment in July?? I hope they hurry up... I want my money!!!

Sorry to say, but we didn't get ours until about September or October the year that we were eligible for it.

Ring them I say. Better to know than to be waiting round the mailbox. Also, often if you bring it to their attention they will action it faster.

I rang about 3 weeks ago and they said there had been a computer problem so they were still processing personal tax summaries therefore the payment wouldn't be until end of July/ early August. They may have sorted it out now who knows??

i wonder if the fact this is our 1st year has anything to do with it. We are definately 1300 odd dollars richer already and its only middle july or our surname begins with a D so maybe they start at the begining of the alphabet. Who knows!!!

We are still waiting on ours but we had self-employed income in the last financial year so everything is taking much longer this year. I'd ring them if I were you, no harm in asking how far away.

I agree, give them a call but be prepared to be on the phone for a while, I was on hold for 15mins at one stage (I had planned for it as its that time of the year) we got our letter last week so should have payement soon also.

I also called them up a few weeks ago and the lady said that there has been a delay in getting them out this year. I received mine last week though. It shouldn't be far off.
