Has anyone been watching this on TV One? I have really enjoyed it and it has given me a real appreciation for the Maori language. The fights between the two Maori families has been great fun to watch too

Yeah I have been watching it. It is great to see how they would have lived back then.

I want to know where they filmed it. I am thinking somewhere in the Coromandel.

I always think it must be so frustrating for the family who have to speak Maori to try and communicate to the other families what they are trying to say, they must feel like just blurting it out in English sometimes! They have done really well though and I've enjoyed watching it.

I think it was actually filmed out past Maraetai Clevedon here near Auckland from what I have heard
