Oh..I like the idea of a painting easel. At what age did they get interested at scribbing on things and are there any crayons (or something similar) that are suitable for 1 year olds???? We have a ride on that I got from my old work and she loves pushing it around the room (not so keen on sitting on it yet through, as that would mean she has to actually sit still ).

Um maybe around 18 months maybe before. Caprece was actually scribbling on a book the other day so any time really. Get some really big washable crayons, and some non toxic paint.

Ooo I saw these cool marker things specifically for little hands, from Crayola
"TaDoodles Washable First Marks are the right size and shape for a child's first palm grasp to help in developing gross to fine motor skills. With their unique design, First Marks won't dry out and can be reactivated by simply dabbing them on a piece of paper several times. Worry-free! No caps needed! With each scribble, dab, and wiggle, your child's imagination will grow!"

Lucas has toys coming out of his ears but here's a list of his faves (i've added links for pictures so you know what I'm talking about)...
Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Activity Table
Activity Table
Plastic Climbing Frame (which is what I gave him for his 1st Bday, will last until 4-5years of age +) He absolutely loves the slide and the back door & holes on the sides that he can crawl through, and when he's older theres steps on the side etc etc.
Activity Climber
Wooden Peg Puzzles have been a huge hit with Lucas, he can even match up a couple of pieces already!
Playskool Yellow 'Wheels on the Bus' Bus ...I'll see if I can find the link so you know what I'm talking about lol
Wheels on bus
If any others come to mind i'll add to that list, but those ones I've mentioned seem to be his top toys. Pop up tents and ball pits are always a fave too!
