Glad to hear things are going well Frantic.

I think I had a pretty good 6 weeks - everyone had to come to me cos I wasn't allowed to drive (C-section) which was brilliant, but I did get quite down about my only outings being to the chiropractor and back! Even when I was allowed to drive, I didn't get out that much as it unsettled Amelia so much and I found I paid the price later.

Anyway, yes, everything does get easier - you start to realise you do actully know what you're doing, feel less tired (well somedays) and the mummy brain you had for weeks or months starts to disappear and you remember where you left your cup/keys/glasses/what you went to the fridge for!

I am not a first time mum but my youngest before Rhyley is 8 so I am starting all ovedr again. Although night time is ok at present ( and I am sure it won't stay this way) just the feeding and Rhyley not latching on etc... gets to me. Hes been really unsettled today and I feel its because hes got a sore belly from runny poos. He has finally settled (only for 10mins) in his bouncer/rocker for now.
It is tough work, I found my first alot easier I was asingle mother but I lived with my parents - great help. He wasn't a sleeper though and kept me up alot during day and night but i don't recall ever getting baby blues. Second was a breeze and Rhyley although not bad I have had the baby blues-bad in my books I told my mum I wasn't enjoying baby and almost crying, had a few stressy at Dh ending in crying over nothing and talking about stuff happening with baby almost crying getting chocked up lucky midwife would of seen it all before so no worries - that has past but girls its bloody hard work and every baby is different.
The reawrd is the smile but with my kids alot older 8 and 13 its other people telling you what great kids you have, thats my reward as yes I have help along the way but it was me in the end that 'moulded' them into who they are.
