I agree Renee, I get sick of the jokes and stuff too, he has passed away and its very sad, he was a great artist and thats how Id like to remember him.
Im sorry Auqarius, but I have to strongly disagree with your comments on this one, this is the general discussion thread and like Renee said, not about parenting, and this thread in particular is for fans to remember MJ, not for people who dont like him to come in and crap on him and to make us feel like we are bad people for being fans, cos thats how it seems.
Im not usually one to argue my point on forums, but this tows the line!

I know people don't "like" MJ because of how he looks, or how the media have portrayed him, but my goodness his talent was original and brilliant, there can be no arguement there. I fully believe he was innocent on those charges, others have their opinions, but that's mine. He had a terrible childhood, which scarred him for life, and controlled how he went on to live his life.

Its sad, but its being overplayed by the media now. I asked mum if it was this bad when Elvis died and she said no.
I think its sad that it overshadowed Farrah Fawcett as well. I think it was even worse that the stupid french rugby player was a more important mention then Farrah Fawcett.
Regardless of your opinion on MJ however he was a performer who shaped music and dance to how it is today. You see little bits of him in everything.
I don't think he was a child abuser or anything of the sort I just believe he never really grew up! What other grown man has a theme park in their background before the idea of kids was even about! Don't forget that he has always been slightly off centre even having a pet chimpanzee.

Very sad to see the king of pop is gone. I remember listening to his music when I was little, sort of made me pull out his records and play them again.
Yes he did have a very troubled life and was missunderstood and we will never know how much of it is true or not true...but he is the greatest singer of our time.

I think you're right.
And I hate to say it, but there are some awful people out there (Michael Jackson NOT included) that would be willing to ruin a person's reputation for a quick buck. There are people out there that would be low enough to think telling a lie that big could stand to earn them a LOT of money, in that case $20 million dollars.
Like the parents of children who pretend their kids have cancer so they can get donations and stuff.
Sick sick people.

Caitlyn loves Michael Jackson , she watches his clips on youtube and tries to dance like him .
I find it disgusting , that because people are famous , its ok to make jokes about their death , they are doing it with him , they did it with Princess Diana, Steve Irwin , etc etc .
People should have some respect, first of all , he was aquitted of all charges, so that case is dropped, second of all , the man was a musical genius , his songs aren't cool a few years ago , they would still go to number one if they were released today , his dance moves were original and his voice was beautiful .
And if people don't want to respect him for that alone , then respect the fact that he was a dad, and his kids will be hurting right now, just like any other child who has lost a parent , and if people don't want to respect Michael Jackson in life, or in death , fine, criticise the person who can no longer fight back , but at least have some respect for his children .
This is in regards to people making jokes btw , not anyone on this forum cos I can't be ar*ed getting into arguments on a forum
