That's a daft excuse they only need to pick the bag off the floor and out of children reach and the kids can't be very well supervised if they are allowed to get into bags belonging to other children.

Yep, I spoke with one of the teachers about it at the preschool and she wasn't very impressed either.

what are children doing wandering around in the changing area unsupervised anyway? in our daycare the changing area was the toilet/washing/sink area, so was not for kids to just go in an play in. and i am sure you could provide a zipped bag for all the other bags to go in, to stop kids getting into it. most kids are curious, but they would really have to be fixated on one particular bag to open it up.

thats horrible.
the childcare centre boo is starting at will use cloth if requested, provides all sposy nappies, and otehr things needed and the nappy change area is in the locked room so no kids can get in there without supervision.
i wonder how they coped in the day of no sposies eh lol

That would have been over 30 years ago and I don't think they had daycare for under 2s back then.
You had to be TT to go to kindy.

I work in a kindy now but used to be in a daycare and I remeber the first time I came across a cloth nappy (about 5 years ago) I was quite dubious. But we respected the parents wishes to use cloth nappies and just placed them in a plastic bag for Mum to collect at the end of the day It worked out fine for everyone.
It will be interesting to see if daycare centres change their views on cloth nappies now they are becoming more and more common.
Good luck mummy_becks!

Well Josh had a sposie on yesterday, and his butt is fine just a bit of redness around his legs. So who knows maybe it was just a bad day. I have about 500 sposies that he can use at daycare so long as I don't have to bring any home or put any on him - I managed to break 3 yesterday when trying to put the tab on him pulled it right off.
