i have heard you can get preg while breastfeeding, even before your period returns because you can ovulate etc... but i guess it might be more difficult if you havent gotten it back because you wouldnt know when you were? hmm i could be wrong though.
all the best with ttc... and you arent crazy! i have 3 kids (for a while were 3 under 4) my oldest 2 being 17 months apart and it erally is great and i would love more but have to stop.

You sure can. You ovulate two weeks odd before your period so if you got the timing right you might actually not get your period back but otherwise just try as normal
good luck

Short answer is yes!

As others have said you ovulate 2 weeks before you get your period so you could get pregnant without ever getting your period back. And once you have your period it's all systems go.

From what I understand if you are exclusively breast feeding the chances of getting pregnant are reduced but it's not a guarantee that you won't. Chances of falling pregnant and getting your period back etc increase as you decrease breastfeeding or if you are not exclusively breastfeeding.

Worked for me three times (three because one miscarried). Your fertility may drop a bit while still feeding but I think each time I have got preg I have been bfing 4-6 times in 24 hours.

If you're still waiting for your period to come back, just remember that because it is back doesn't necessarily mean you WILL get preg right away (but it is possible). I get my periods back early after baby is born (2-3mos) but haven't got preg until baby is 6-9mos.

Hope that helps. And did you mean to say that you feed 3-4 hours a day and 7-8 times a night?!! Surely not!

I woman I worked with had this happen to her. There is 11 months between her 2 boys.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Uhm hate to be the downer but u can get your period without ovulating im a prime example. Only way to know for sure if ur are ovulating is temping/charting and ovulation predictor kits.

Good Luck

If you haven't got your period back yet it could be affected by the b/fing - everyone is different. Also some ppl don't get their period back (regardless of feeding) until 8mos or so after baby is born. So there are a lot of factors in it.

I was coming back in here just to say, I had 19mos between my eldest two and it has worked really well. At first, the eldest and I needed to eat and sleep as often and now they are close enough in age that they can play together... sometimes

I heard as soon as you go longer than 6 hours between a feed its not a reliable form of birth control. Jack was having 4 feeds a day when I got preg
