Topic: Outlaws - Who needs them? *rant time* Posted: 10 March 2008 at 5:44pm |
Man I hate my Mother Inlaw .. she's trying to break up mine and my partners relationship because she's to frugal to let him live his own life and can't get a life of her own... She's making up lies that I don't like the kids and that I don't like his grandma, and lots of other stuff...
I've just spent the last past of today bawling my eyes out, as has my fiancee because he's scared she's going to win again and I'll leave.. I can't do that to him, he's been through so much.. raising his 3 kids on his own after their mother passed away when the youngest (now 8) was 3 months old.
Why are there so many people out there that use a facade and then stab people in the back like this?? I'm so sick of being trampled on and treated like crap just because she's a heartless cow who wants to live her life through our family... I'm OVER IT!!!!!!!!

OMG Neeks. I thought my outlaw was a biarch, but yours sounds like the Queen of all Biarch's.
I think the time has come to stand your ground. You and DP HAVE to stick up for each other.
You might have to confront her.

Thanks for all your support ladies..
She is using 3 innocent kids to play mind games with and to me that sucks, she keeps going on and on at them to tell her if something is wrong, and has taken bits here and there to turn it into a crock of sh*te.. if she had something to say why not say it to my face?? Is she scared I'd open a can of whoop arse on her? LOL
Last week I realised I have PND so she's certainly timed it right to kick me in the (if i had them) balls. I'm taking some St Johns Wort for my depression and talking to my DF & kids HEAPS so hopefully with some time I can work through it without having to go to a therapist of any kind
You're all great, no wonder I'm addicted to this place LOL

Yup you and your partner need to take a united front against you MIL. She is feeling threatened by you hence her attacks on your relationship.
She needs to know that this behavious is unacceptable, not only is she hurting you but her son as awell as her grandchildren, and they undoubtedly will sense the animosity she has. Don't let her continue to have this hold over you. If you're ballsy enough, confront her, let her know you're not going to take it anymore, that she needs to accept that you are not going anywhere. Tell her how you feel this is affecting the kids and that if she continues to have this attitude toward your relationship with her son that you won't allow her to be around your kids.
I hope this issue resolves itself. No way should anyone stand in the way of your union. I know we all have issues with our inlaws, my MIL is by noo means perfect, yikes you'd be suprised!!
