Apple crumble is my desert of choice!

Peel and chop approx 2 apples for each person eating, stick them in a baking dish (can sprinkle a little sugar on top if you like things sweeter!)

In another bowl mix 200grams butter, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour, until it looks like crumble mix.

Pour ontop of apples, bake for approx 20 mins. Easy!

I have an even easier/lazier recipe than this. Buy two cans of pie apples. In a kitchen whizz place about 1/2 cup each of flour, rolled oats, coconut, brown sugar and butter. Pulse until mixed and put over pie apples in a suitable dish. Bake for about 30 mins in a moderate oven.

See, I tried canned apples last week, and it didn't taste good at all! I was really disappointed by the way the apples tasted compared to fresh.

Mmm, the icecream sounds lovely! Post the recipe!

I make a mean apple crumble. Base recipe similar to what has already been posted - although I don't measure, I just bung it all in until I get the right consistency.

I also add rolled oats to the crumble topping, as well as a good teaspoon or so of cinnamon and nutmeg (also sprinkled on the fruit). It also has better flavour if you use brown sugar as opposed to just white sugar.
More variations of course are to mix the fruit up with berries, rhubarb, pears etc.
Mmmm, might make one for tonight!

ooh actually I remember I have a recipe for Pear and Cranberry crumble. Same as apple but just use different fruit.
Cranberry would be quite festive.
