Topic: Tiredness Posted: 04 April 2008 at 7:42pm |
Over the past few weeks I have been really tired, coping just as you do with 2 children. On Wednesday I saw my doctor and I had quite a few blood tests done and I got the results back today and both my iron and B12 levels are normal. So now i've had a few more tests done (glandular fever and something else) outside of the square to see what is making me so tired.
So with my iron levels fine I don't need to take iron tablets to pick me up. Any ideas on what else I could take??

You could try:
*berroca
*black currant juice
*apples
*reducing your wheat intake (particularly white bread)

Healthy snacks - carrot sticks and pears instead of crackers and biscuits? Just a thought, but I don't know what you eat lol. I've been really tired too and went for my blood test today

My diet is usually pretty good. Had a little treat of chocolate yesterday but normally its good.
I've just had a look at what i've been tested for and all of them are tested because of tiredness and a few other things i've got going on.
Might try blackcurrant juice thou.

Floradix - it contains magnesium which can help with tiredness as well. I am giving it to my kids to help with immunity.

I hope I don't offend with this but are you depressed at all? When I had tonsilitis for months that never really went away, I was so tired and had to have a day nap every day, the drs didn't beleive it was the tonsilitis (even tho it went away after they were removed) and kept trying to diagnose depression.
Also do you do much exercise? I really notice the difference when i haven't done any, i'm really sluggish (lol best word I could come up with) and can't sleep so get really tired.
