I b/f for 10 months, JJ self wearned, and I had my period back the next week. I would say it is different for everyone, as I know ladies who got their periods even when fully b/f when baby was only a few months old.

...enter me I get mine back at around the 3 month mark, still exclusively breastfeeding! It's not fair!
It's not necessarily linked to weaning, I think most ppl get theirs back between 6-12 months regardless of whether they are bfing.

I exclusively bf Maya and got AF back around 4 mths, the twins I weaned at 10 weeks and had a bit of spotting (not related to the weaning, just coincidentally the same day) and got a proper AF 3 weeks later.

Thanks girls. Just wanted to get some sort of idea. Hubby and I are thinking about No 2 at some stage this year so hopefully won't have to wait too long for period to come back
