Sneaky hubby.... yea I'm like you Stacey and I had it with my first pregnancy too. And I've just had bloods done (for the third time) as well I think I'm just craving anything with a lot of taste in it this week.... tomato sauce, vinegar, mint sauce, salt... tonight I made seasoned mashed potatoes and usually I have things tasting duller than DH but tonight he said he could hardly eat them - and I couldn't taste anything!

Joys of pregnancy... hehe now it's both of us wishing it's over

Teresa, I still have my salt thing going on and had bloods and nothing missing, its just a preggy thing.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Apparently extra salt is good if you are getting (leg) cramps... and since I've had them on and off I'm quite happy to keep the salt intake up for a couple more weeks! Funny thing is, I KNOW I'm adding more salt in our dinners but I can't taste any difference

I thought that as well but it still hasn't stopped me jumping out of bed at about 4am  to get rid of a leg cramp. I read somewhere that having a banana smoothie helps leg cramps so i'm having a banana every night now before bed and that seems to have helped with a glass of milk.

I don't think taking a teaspoon of salt when the cramps come on would help, it's more a general increase in diet thing.... but there are other things my mw suggested to me too. I haven't tried them because I've never had bad cramps longer than a couple of days. They are Dolomite Powder, or Magnesium Supplements (from Health & Vitality).
