Hi Ladies

Im not sure whether i am posting in the right section.Im moving over to the Gold Coast in 5 days.Im 20 weeks pregnant and moving over with my partner.
Im alittle paranoid that im going to get homesick as i dont no anybody and will have no family over there for awhile.
I was wondering whether there was anybody on this forum in the same situation?Who is about to move or who already has?
Even if you no of anyone that i can have a good chat to about it all.
I would love to find someone living on the Gold Coast i can meet up with!

I wonder if they have something like this over there....A forum? Maybe try babycenter.com? Seems to be pretty useful site.....and you can choose Australia from their main page I think...............

Poor thing...I cant imagine moving anywhere without knowing at least one family or person!

An idea might be to have a look here (and yes that is our Emma in the banner ) as it is an NZ and AUS forum. Be aware thou it can get very catty and you can only talk about their products. But it might help you with the hunt for some people over there.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

We are in the same boat. We are going to perth tho. My partner leaves on the 9th august and myself and the children will follow at the end of september. I will be almost 34weeks pregnant when i get there so im abit worried about sorting my care and hospital out as soon as i get there.

thanks ladies.yes i'll try looking at the babycentre website.For some reason i thought it was some american thing.Iv'e found huggies to be ok there is some really helpfull people on there but also some very critical judgemental ones.I cant help but reteliate at them!!
And to A and R's mum,we thought about perth to.If it doesnt work out in the Goldie we may end up in Perth.Good luck with moving.Maybe make some phonecalls to docs/hospitals before you get there!
