I love Australia- well what ive seen (the Goldcoast ) but i dunno if i could live there-maybe it would take the pleasure out of it for me ?
Mind you i could happily visit Pacific Fair any day (this from the girl living in close proximity to Botany town centre, too many westfields and the new Sylvia Park...but Pac fair has a MOAT)

Caitlyns dad and wife and son moved there last month, and he said when we visits he'll pay for both our flights...shes going over with his mum for her bros birthday in september...have to get her passport organised.

Accctually have to get mine redone too-last time i was there some security guy said " u can go this time but if u try to use that passport again we will reserve the right to refuse u entry into the country" ....at arrivals in NZ they barely looked at it..

hmmmm just goes to show how different peoplke are - we went to teh gold coast for our honeymoon and visited Brisbane too and while I htought it was ok it really didnt do that much for me. DH loved it, said he woud move there in a heartbeat, but for some reason unexplicable to myself it just didnt impress me, not that I could find anythign wrong with it, I just didnt fall in love with it - not even a little... I have visited Sydney before as well and that was ok, a little more my style, but dont think I would bother moving there...
Interestign to see how the same place appeals or doesnt appeal to differnt people..
Next place i want to go in Oz is Melbourne, heard it is lovely there...

A lot of my friends have moved over to the gold coast recently and none of them actually settled there they said its nice to visit but too expensive to live there. DP wants us to move there 2 but i couldn't be that far away from my family.

Sorry had a few internet issues (now fixed with broadband). When I stayed there last in the north of the city we saw nothing there re creapie crawlie, however the south does have them. But then again no matter where you are in the world you come across them in all different shapes and sizes. Maya is right it is user pays (think National Party policies) so it can be quie expensive if you get sick or need childcare. I'm from there so would love to go back but the family thing is here and DH's mother would have a fit if we moved.
I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
