Topic: Im going back to... Posted: 19 March 2008 at 6:46pm |
... the specialist tomorrow YAY to hopefully find out why if i'm on the pill (and taking it properly) why am I still bleeding .
I got rung up to get an appointment someone had cancelled as I wanted DH to come with me to see what our options are. The earliest appointment I was given ws next week but that meant DH would of missed it. I am really happy to get tomorrow appointment (I just had to juggle a tutioral but thats ok) so DH can hear from Dr Grant what our opition is.
So tomorrow at 2pm i'll be there and then i'll let you tomorrow when I get my small chance to have a quick read of what he said.

Ok so I saw him today and i'm going onto a different pill (can't remember the name DH has taken the boys for a walk to go pick it up) in the mean time. He is writing a letter to my insurance company to see if they would rather pay for a hystorectomy (about $10000 with hospital stay) or a measley $340 for me to have the Mirena put in. He rekons they will go the Mirena option and I will finally get that put in.
Even thou he does think a hystorectomy is the best thing for me (even thou of my age) he doesn't want to do it yet as DH did mention yes to the 3rd child at the appointment.
So once DH goes i'm going to plan my AF and start the new pill hopefully it'll work and sometime in the next few months (well it needs to be before July) i'll get my MIrena in.

I didn't get the new pill it wasn't subsidised even thou I was told it was , so i'm going to stay on estelle untill I can get hold of dr grant again after easter. But i'm hoping after easter southern cross would have approved the mirena.

Which pill was it? The one I always get put on is about $45, it was only subsidised about $10 from memory.

Not yet, he wants to get things settled down first with the excess bleeding and then try later. I want to try later this year early next year.

Hopefully you get the mirena, I love mine so much. I thought it was free for anyone who has excessive bleeding anyway?

Nope your feritin levels or hemagloben levels need to be really low and mine are low but not low enough to qualify for it that way.
