Okaaay so have just opened up my nursing bra to feed C and my left nipple looks like it has a gaping gash in it?! Looks like a crack that's opened up.. it doesn't actually look gory or anything though and doesn't hurt (although I am feeding C on other side so haven't been brave enough to put him on the left to see how painful it is!
Any tips on what I can do? I'm already going out to my gynae this afternoon for my post natal check up so not that keen on carting C round somewhere else as well if I can avoid it, ie home remedies would be a good start... please |

bepanthan (sp) is awesome. i used it for all my tattoos but my sister swears on it for cracked nipples and it doesnt hurt even on open wounds, it has a numbing effect and heals real quick

Fresh air, sunshine, lansinoh nipple cream, breast milk, expressing from that side till it heals a little...thats all I can think of for now. My nipples were torn up and bleeding with Bella so I speak from experience Thankfully no nipple dramas this time around...Good luck |

I had one of those, and it turned green
I used Rose-calandula (sp) on it, worked a treat.
