Ok, so it looks like im goin to be going through a marriage breakup v soon, but what im wanting to know, is that because i will be a fulltime SAHM how do i get the DPB? i would need to have some financial assistance before i can actually move out from our home, because i only get $120 from WFF, do WINZ let this happen? will they give me money before i move so i can get a place for myself and daughter? i have no family here, and no friends who hav room for me and Eden, so im pretty much stuck here until i can find a place and to get a place i need money!

any advice would be fantastic

TIA

I am sorry you have to go through this.

You will totally be entitled to the DPB, is Izobel going to be living with her father or will you have her too?? Go into WINZ and ask them about what you can get. I do know that Steph (mum2lucas) is at the moment getting al this info so you could ask her what you need to do.

Also if you are having both the children then you would need to look into chaild support as well - IRD will be able to help you with that.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

Big hugs hun. So sorry you and your family have to go through that. Winz would be the best place to go to sort it all out and get olnto all the entitlements you can receive.

Big hugs, sounds scary

You technically won't qualify for the DPB till you or your ex move out as you can't get it while you are living together, but in my experience some case managers are prepared to be a bit 'liberal' in the way they work things so that it can start beforehand. You usually just have to prove to them that your ex isn't supporting you or the kids financially/contributing to household costs.

They will help out with moving costs, bond etc. if need be. Your best bet might be to give them a call and see what you are entitled to, and maybe make an appt with a case manager at your local office so you can go thru all the details with them.
