Bombshell - that is the first time she's ever done that (or even been on her tummy for anymore than 5 seconds without spewing or crying).
Everyone seems to have different success with the safety sleep. I swear by ours as Caitlin has always slept better on her side than on her back and I was able to strap her in tight enough so that she couldn't roll onto her tummy when she was little (i.e. could only roll back, not forward) so it gave us peace of mind. She's only "semi-escaped" once or twice but only just past her armpits but she was 4-5 months old and VERY determined LOL

Also - I personally don't think they are worth the $100+ so I got my MiL to go have a look at one in the shop and then she made us two

What a cutie!

I used to pin Maya into her safety sleep to keep her in it, otherwise she would just let herself out and potter around in her cot. I think she was a bit older then tho.

Aww Houdini Caitlin is SO adorable! That must have been some effort. No wonder it tuckered her out haha.

And excellent job on the safety sleep, MiL! They are good for something after all

yeah not too sure if I will use to safety sleep my friend has gave me - two reasons - seeems babies won't sleep without it after a while and when going to Uk want Rhyley to be pretty versitile on where he sleeps and babies once a bit older can move around in them anyhow. Will see...
Gorgeous photo by the way.. looks like we have the same mobile

Yeah I think we have the same mobile too :)

I'm interested to see how Alyssa goes when we eventually stop using the safe t sleep in her main cot. I personally don't think we will have any issues as during the day she sleeps in her portacot in the lounge without a safe t sleep, but yeah, fingers crossed when the time comes!
