That would excite me too.
I swear I'm an elderly lady stuck in a 23 year old's body.

My hubby was SO excited when his uncle gave us his 'spare' Dyson a month or so ago that he did the next 3 vacuums! When BIL came round to visit he had to have a go too, so funny!
Yay for a new vacuum Nikki! It does make the job so much better when you have a decent vacuum to do it with eh?

Thanks Aimee... I noticed your post but decided I should ramble on in a new thread about it (even if I missed it myself! haha)
And it's just a mid-range Electrolux vacuum cleaner. I looked through the consumer report thingy (though I didn't fork out for the named brand report) and it went on about expensive ones not being worth the extra money unless you get a "power head" and to get one of those I needed to spend a whooooole lot more money.
So anyway, this one has to be better than the crappy one we have now! I have to vacuum over a spot about 6 times to even pick up a piece of fluff.
I'm soooo looking forward to picking up the carpet with the suction! hehe

I'd love a new cleaner. Ours won't pick up anything right now. Was good for a few years but now it's crapping out.
