to all of my forum friends but especially the Jan/Feb 08 mummies who have all been so wonderful and supportive to me over what has been the worst 6 months of my life. Some of you will know that after a frustrating 6 months of doctors, specialists and lots of "there is nothing wrong with you" I found out a few weeks ago that I had a tumour on my spine. I had successful surgery to remove it 2 weeks ago on Friday 07/08/09, so not a date that I will forget easily lol! I am recovering now at home and so glad to be back!! My wonderful friends have been there to support me both when I was trying to get to the bottom of why I was feeling so terrible and while I was waiting for surgery and through out my recovery time in the hospital. I just want to say I really appreciate all the texts and the facebook messages and cards and thoughts and I feel lucky to be part of a forum with such wonderful lovely caring people
I had no idea till I visited Aimee and Greer and she mentioned it. Glad to hear you are making a speedy recovery.

Glad to hear the surgery went well and that you're back at home feeling better! Don't you just hate it when Doctors basically tell you to suck it up or that its all in your head? I experienced the same thing when I was feeling nauseous/constant lower stomach pains for 23 months after lucas- when he was just over a year old I asked the Doc if it could have been the ovarian cyst I developed in pregnancy and she told me there could be no way, and what do you know...diff doctor almost a year later rushed me for urgent scan and it was nearly the size of a baseball when they removed it!
Good on you for persevering, womens intuition is ALWAYS right!
You've had us all very worried here but you've also amazed us with how positive you have been about it all even though we knew it must be one of the hardest and scariest things you've ever had to go through. You're an amazing woman Char.
Your part of our family Char so you are going to get all the support and love from us you need. You're an amazing person and to put up with it for soo long with 3 boys (well 4 counting DH) i think that entitles you to a medal or at least becoming a Dame Dame Char has a nice ring to it
we are all just so glad you are doing better.. and as the others say persisted in getting some treatment..don't start me on your doctors.. if they don't apologise I'll be up there myself..
just super glad to have you back and at home with your boys where you belong!
