OK, so I about to take the big step into the world of cloth. I got some OSFA pockets off trademe and they seem cool. (Tho not microfleece inside, just some polyester stuff - not so fluffy)But they only came with one thin hemp insert. Is this all I need to make them last as long as a disposable? I have a few microfibre inserts here in other nappies (too small for my boy) - will I need to add them in?
Yay I am excited! They are in the wash now, tho he has one on with a peapod insert at the mo - just checking the fit

YAY Bel!! You will need to add a microfibre insert with your hemp. Maybe even 2 if Luke is a big wetter. Just experiment with different inserts until you sort out whats right for him. I love bamboo inserts too.

   yay for cloth!
Hemp takes longer to absorb pee than microfibre, so to avoid leaks I wouldn't use hemp by itself |

The most absorbant mf (alone) inserts are Cotton Babies one-size inserts, which you can buy from Green Beans ($36 for 6 I think). They fit well into the OSFA nappies because you can popper them down to make them smaller! Handy! Vic xx

BEl - is the OSFA that you got off trade me white? Looks identical to BG? Iv got 1 of those as well. The insert it comes with is fab as a booster. Just chuck in a MF insert and add that as well. Iv got some small but long hemp inserts from BH that i add in as well, so one big MF insert, a tiny hemp from BH and that hemp that came witht he pocket..
I also found pepsicles on trade me was selling FB inserts for $5 each. The large ones.

Yeah Kandice that sounds like the one. I am finding them really good. In fact have decided to buy some more the same - she has offered me a great price. I use a MF insert (bought some cotton babies ones in the end) and the hemp one and find it last him 3 hours at least. I don't want the nappy to end up too bulky, so am happy with that.
Thanks for the offer of your BGs anyway
