Right my first cloth naps have arrived, they are ecobubs wool pockets for night time. I wanted to see if they fitted well before ordering any of their day pockets ( also currently deciding what others to try). But do I need to wash them and all the boosters etc before use and if so do i have to wash them seperately (I only have 2 so far so seems bit of a waste of waterif I do??) and what with. We use persil sensitive, should I only use ecostore? Also do I have to do anything special to them before first use?
Sorry I am totally new to this so may have a few more questions as well along the way!
 Thanks |

You *should* prewash them, I never do but they do work better once they've had a few washes.
You only have to wash them separately if they are dark colors in case the color runs, I wash all my nappies in with the clothes.
And Persil sensitive is fine, just use 1/2 the normal amount. I use Persil standard and it works fine.
 Hope that helps! Good luck!

I never wash mine first either but just don't expect too much of them without being washed.

Okay here is the wee guy in his ecobub wool pocket. All ready to go for it's first outing tonight!!
I put 2 inserts into it as I was worried one may not be enough, what do you all think? His bum looked so huge I had to have a wee laugh!! I have to work out this whole stuffing thing.
Not sure what I am going to get for daytime. Was thinking I may get some more ecobubs or honeychild naps, or a mixture. I like the Fuzzis but would prefer to buy NZ made if possible! I think I am a pocket fan but could be persuaded otherwise.
Mum picked up a pamphlet on Baby cheeks for me the other day, they looked quite good but not sure about the whole one size fits all thing, what do others think about that?
I can now see how this could become quite addictive |

   Oh, he looks adorable!!!
If you like NZ-made, definitely check out Foxybots - made by the lovely Stacey - www.foxybots.co.nz
Their minky pockets are gorgeously soft and the hemp/microfibre trifolds are fantastic.

I've been using Bumgenius one size since Rohann was 2 weeks old and so far so good - have honestly had no probs with them. But as I've only been using them for 9 weeks there is probably others out there with more long term one size experience |

I've heard of alot of leg elastic problems with bumgenius, but that might not apply to the new ones.
