Has anyone on here had this done?
I am considering having it done instead of DH getting the chop.

Any side effects? Are you ok now?

I haven't had it but I am having the same sort of thing done when i turn 30. I am getting it all ripped out due to issues with the baby oven and the rest. I think Annie (fattartsrock) had it done, and I think someone else has just had it done to. Have a search and I think you will find a recent post. |

unless you are being "opened up" for something else then it makes more sense for the man to have it as its not major surgery for them... my 2cents worth... |

   Yeah I suppose.
I did have my gall bladder removed about 5 years ago and that was key hole surgery.

i am pretty sure that getting your tubes tied is a lot more major than key hole surgery.

I think it would depend on the surgeon as it if it will be keyhole. With improvements to surgery they may be able to do it like that now. They do endo removal by keyhole now - you get 4 cuts but better than one big one - so could be possible. |

Yep tubal ligation is now done thru key hole surgery with everything they remove sent down thru the vagina instead of cutting the abdomen open just to get it out.   The open wounds will be the 3 holes from laparoscopy for the surgery |

I wish I could send DH to get it done but there seems no point as I already know I am having my op done. Good to know that it can be done key hole thou, I wish mine could be |

That's why mum made dad get the snip, the cheeky priest at their church at the time said mum should get her tubes tied coz she wasn't Catholic and so it wouldn't be against the church, whereas if Dad got the snip it went against the no contraception thing. Mum told them to get stuffed!
