   125gms butter
125gms sugar
 1pkt wine biscuits (crushed)
 1 egg
 1 tablespoon cocoa
 1/2tsp vanilla

Boil butter and sugar together for 1 minute, add everything else and mix well...(add egg last, will cook with the heat from the sugar and butter)

scoop into a cake tin, press flat, cut when cold

for a really yummy extra, when cold ice with chocolate icing.

will keep for 2 wks in an airtight container

Bugger, I forgot to get those wine biscuits. Should I brave the rain and wind to get some overpriced ones at the dairy? Sure, why not! |

   Does 125g sugar = 1/2 cup?

   Found a converter! 100g sugar = 1/2 cup so I used a rounded 1/2 cup |

My mum makes that as well, but sometimes she adds sultanas to it as a treat.

Just made this, but am a bit worried about eating it as I'm 28weeks pregnant. Does the egg cook enough just from the heat of the other ingredients? It looks so yummy I hope I can eat it!!!

I ate something similar to this at about the same stage, and was totally fine. |
