   Hey all,
Just getting my hospital bag together and have packed 0000/NB sized clothing.
Has anyone had a newborn baby that didn't fit this size??
 Just checking... thanks |

My friend had a baby that was 9lb 6 and he still fitted newborn stuff. My boy was 6lb 2 and they were very loose on him and fitted for months.

Yep I took newborn stuff with me to the hospital and Cooper weighed 7pd2oz.. the newborn stuff was huge on him... my mum did a mercy dash to Farmers and brought some prem stuff, which he was wearing right up to 7weeks old. I'm now able to put him into all of the newborn stuff I brought originally..
So I'd suggest taking a mixture of onesies..as different pieces are made differently...

 All the best with baby.

Elle was 6 pounds 2 so we needed prem stuff for the first 3 or 4 weeks. Mind you, you can always but the newborn stuff on...it may just be a little baggy.
Yay! for only 21 days to go :)

All the new born stuff looked really big on Ella (she was 3.3kg- can't believe she is now 7.5kg!!) but they do grow into it really quickly.
I think we brought a couple of stretch n grows and a couple of gowns with us to the hospital- she mainly wore the gowns when she was really little.

charli was 7lb 6oz and 0000 were swimming on her. we put them on her anyway and a friend got her some prem clothes. they grow so fast that it doesn't matter if NB is too big.
jack was 5lbs 12oz and even the prem stuff was too big. he wore gowns mostly for ages |

We packed NB and OOO stuff - both DH and I were reasonable size bubs ourselves (8lb 12, and 9lb 10 1/3) so didn't expect bubs to be all that small.
Blair ended up being 9lb 2oz (4.13kg) and ended up wearing both sizes as we ended up staying in hospital for 4 nights. The 000 stuff was big, put I just rolled it up.

Well I must be the first to say that our bubs Lauren didn't fit the new born clothes I took for her! She was 9lbs, she is a skinny mini but was 55cm in length at birth (new born clothes are 56cm in length) so I had to get my SIL to bring up some of her daughters 0-3 mths sized clothes for her while in hospital!!
Lauren could have worn the newborn clothes but her long legs ended up around her armpits, so we ditched them for the 0-3mth stretch in grow thingys!

Maya was 9lb1oz and went straight into 000, I never bought any smaller stuff coz I figured it didn't matter if it was a little big. The gremlins were just under and just over 7lb each and went into 0000/000 which were a bit big but fine rolled up. I didn't bother with prem stuff for the same reason I never bought smaller stuff with Maya.

thanks so much for all your words of experience!
I didn't actually buy any 0000 stuff, just got given heaps of bodysuits.
Gowns sound like a fab idea - I think I may have to go shopping Yay for 21 days, and thanks for the warm wishes!

Well my 8lb 4oz boy was in prem clothes for the first few weeks then into 0000 stuff for 10 weeks and then finally into 000 stuff. Josh on the other hand was 9lb 4oz and went straight into 0000 clothes, he did fit into a couple of the prem clothes just so I could get photos of him in them. |

jake went into newborn (at 7lb) and Taine needed prem clothes (at 6lb something). nana just ran off to somewhere and got them. i wasn't too fussed actually. My nephew was another long baby who wore a lovely peter rabbit body suit - without the feet in, just rolled it around his waist and put a blanket over the top. |

Caprece was 7lb7oz but 55cm so the nb all in ones with feet didn't really for for long but anything that didn't have feet fit fine.
Jack ended up having a clicky hip and needed to wear double cloth nappies so had this giant bum and only 000 would fit over it.
 Good luck |

Arabella was 7lb 5oz and mewborn clothes were huge on her. . She is now in newborn and prem - but then again she is quite skinny with long limbs.
