Hello

I'm wondering when most people start looking for a Midwife ? I'm between 6 and 9 weeks (will find out for sure next week)
I've heard that they get booked up pretty quickly.

Also, I have no idea where to look for one!
If anyone knows of one around the Pt Chevalier area, and could pass on their details .. That would be much appreciated

most book out around 5-6 weeks here..

Our phone book has a bunch of them in the medical section in the front. Some places have websites or ask your GP for a list

try going to the midwifery council of NZ website by following this link http://www.midwiferycouncil.org.nz/main/register/
It has everymidwife listed in here and you can search your area, see their qualifications and if they have a current practise cert.

Oh and I only just managed to find on eat 9 weeks ( I had had one earlier at 5 but she didn't want me as a client any more)
