   "Rural emergency number" is?
I'm filling in Ella's school enrolment forms (!!!) and there's a box asking for this. I have absolutely no idea what it means.
There are other boxes asking for our home, work and mobile numbers and a section for emergency contact people and their home, work and mobile numbers, so I'm a bit clueless as to what they want in the rural emergency number department!
 Please help TIA

Already! But we were just at her birthday a few weeks ago!!!
 I'd leave it blank.
People who live in a rural setting have a rural emergency number so it makes it easier for the police/ambulance to find them in an emergency.

Cos if you do you would have a red number just out by your letterbox, that is the rural number.

I was going to say the same as Becks - I'm pretty sure it's the number on the gate which isn't your address as such. From memory, among other things, it actually tells emergency services how far up the rural road (eg. 2.4 kms) you are. I think!

*Waves at Debbie* Nice to see you on here again!
Hope you're enjoying your new place?
I know Mel & Debbie, its way too soon to be thinking about school for her!
One of her kindy teachers asked me to do it the other morning, apparently they need the numbers of students for next year so that they can apply for funding for them or something?? I don't know, I'm just going to stick my head back in the sand for another 10 months or so!
