I have never been "remembered" even though I check the box. It only remembers me if I go via www.ohbaby.co.nz and then choose "forums".... not if I go direct to the link. |
Me too!!!! Although if I'm really lucky (and have previously been in the long way round earlier in the day and left the computer on) I can go straight there *sometimes* - has happened once or twice maybe? I just always go through the main home page now though otherwise I don't bother posting because I have to log in all over again once I've started reading! |
I used to have this problem, and still do if I go straight to http://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/default.asp (which is the forums page), or any page directly. But if you bookmark http://www.ohbaby.co.nz/Messageboard.aspx instead it goes to the main forums page and should remember you as well. Faster than going through the front page. HTH
(Doesn't help with the other issues though!)

The slowness of the site is CRAZY! I normally have a look at the forums on my breaks at work but I can't be bothered anymore because the waiting time after clicking on a thread drives me insane! Could it be caused by the elaborate tickers and large volumes of photos that are being posted?

I'd say that has a bit to do with it Sal. Plus we seem to have doubled the amount of members in the last year (not that that's a bad thing)

Thanks for the login tip weegee.
This is what I got this morning when I clicked "post reply" in the Feb 09 thread
"Sorry, this function has been disabled.
This Forum has been locked by the Forum Administrator."
Huh?! It doesn't seem to do that when I type a reply on the same page but then again, I still get that no permission message or a timeout message when I use the quick reply so it's possbl y the same thing really .. so frustrating!

Thanks Weegee for the tip. Unfortunately it still doesn't work for me. Bookmarked that page, but I was still logged in as a guest. Guess I'll have to keep going in the long way!
