   Yay from me too!   It's pretty annoying to be given a date that's behind where you thought you were though! They did that to me at my first scan too - feels like you have to do that week over again!  |

   That's great news     Bit late to add but thought I would say anyway. My midwife attempted to listen for heartbeat at my 11wk appt with a doppler but said it was unlikely as bubba was still tiny and it depends on where he/she was positioned. in the uterus.  We couldn't hear it    I was disappointed but not worried as she had explained this before attempting unlike your dumb Dr!! 
 But we just had our 15wk appt yesterday and got to hear it loud and clear thumping away at 150-160bpm      Both DH and I had huge grins on our faces! It's the coolest sound I wish i had recorded it!
 So really what I wanted to say is don't panic if you don't hear it with a doppler for a few weeks yet!    |

   Yay for hearing your bubba's heart beat Mrs B, i remember hearing Caitlyn's , it IS the coolest sound in the world
