I knew there had to be a really valid reason for me being so tired all the time. So last week after I had my iron and a whole heap of other tested and nothing came back my dr decided to go outside the square. I asked to be tested for Glandular Fever as I have had it before and he did some other tests as well.
Well today I got a letter from my dr to say I want to see about your results. So I got his first avaliable appointment (Tuesday morning), but me being nosey wanted to know what was wrong. So I went to my dr's are got a copy of my results. I asked the nurse a few questions and she said I have bad glandular fever. I have 2 different strands of it.
No wonder I have been so tired, so now I have to wait till Tuesday to find out what the action plan is. I know he is going to get me to cut down on my study, but I want to know what kind of support I can get as i'm sleeping like a 6 month old at the moment with a nap in the morning and one in the afternoon and crashing at night.

Ah bugger, that's really sucky for you Becks!
It must be a huge relief to know what it is though, and hopefully you'll be able to get some help while you recover.

Awwwwww, I really feel for you. Do you remember how long it took you to get over it last time? I've had this before too (in my first year teaching and I think I used all my sick days) I hope they can work out something for you. Maybe you'll be entitled to some form of help with the boys? Take it easy with study and rest when you need to.

Yeckh!  All's I can say is a decent MAKE SURE YOU REST warning!!!  I've had it 4 times, and ended up getting reeeeally sick.  Not pretty.  Even if you ended up delaying your studies a semester, the rest could be worth it, depending on how tired you are.

You do know that glandular fever is also known as the Kissing disease??
Jokes aside hope you get better soon and can sort out as to why its reoccurring. Take care of yourself...

Oh, you poor thing!! At least you have answers now though instead of constantly wondering and worrying and you can get your 'recovery plan' on Tuesday. I hope your recovery's a quick one.

 Take care

Yep Kels I have tested positive for both EMV and CMV. I'm buggered so i'm sure I am going to be made to stop studying. But i'll go down to part time but not stop completely - i'll go even more crazy.
