Well, I don't know if it's the same thing, but I've got my notes with me now and I have to bring them with me to every appointment and scan etc, so I'm assuming this is the same folder my midwife would put notes about the birth into as well.

My midwife gave me a photocopy of my labour notes. Really detailed, like 1.55am registrar comes in, 2.00am registrar leaves etc. Plus "Emma exhausted but pushing well".
Re-read the notes when I was preg at Christmas, and suddenly wondered if I really want another baby...

You can also contact your hospital and ask for a copy of your birth notes from them.

Hey Liz, I was thinking is it possible the weight is different because there was a blanket or something on the scales too and they deducted the weight of that? That's what they did with Maya.

Well I slept thru most of my labour, they gave me an epidural which took all the pain away and syntocin(sp?) to get into a pattern of regular contractions but after 8hours on that nothing was happening and baby distressed so into theatre. But the whole time i had syntocin i was pretty much sound asleep. I got my notes when i was discharged from the hospital but not my midwife notes.

Emma, she put the blanket on the scales and zeroed it beforehand. Apparently. Lweis told me.

I've got my notes from my maternity book but not labour notes. Maybe I'll give her a call

Yep, nice to have for next time round. Gives me a starting point for a birth plan.
Liz, that's so weird with the scales. Like Janine said, I'd go with the scales weight tho - maybe the midwife was a bit distracted with other things (ie. you and Taine) and wrote it down wrong?

My midwife was so distracted with Josiah arriving that she didn't even look at the clock to see what time he arrived! Nathaniel and I told her, because we looked.

Abby is down on her birth records as being 55cm, Troy said he was sure she was only 45, When my midwife measured her a week later she was 45cm, so going by the hospital records she shrunk 10 cm!
