Yah finally say Haleighs picture up
Had a rough couple of nights. After Ella night sleeping getting slowly better after me patting her to sleep, earlier in the week she decided to start waking every 2-3 hrs again . On Thurs night after she woke at 9,12 and then at 3 I decided that enough was enough and decided to try letting her CIO it out and see what would happen (I ended up camping out on the floor of her room, so that at least I was just there to make sure she was alright)...finally got back to sleep after 1 15 mins of crying off and on. Fri night did the same thing and she went back to sleep after 20 mins, only to be woken 10 mins later by the stupids neighbours dogs barking . Then she woke 3 hrs later and had to repeat the same process again......it has been a longgggg couple of nights. Last night she was slightly better- I heard her cry out at 11, but she went back to sleep until 1.30 and then cried until 2 and went back to sleep and woke up at 6.30.....so quite a big improvement over earlier in the week. DH looked after her for this morning, so I could catch up on my sleep. Have had to go back to 3 day sleeps for the last couple of days, because she has been really tired because she has being awake more during the night......lets hope we get this sorted soon.

Hello Everyone!
I have no clue how you girls get time to post on here, LOL! I pop in to have a catch up but can't manage a sit down!!
I hope everyone is well
Lucas is finally over his icky bugs. Just had a couple of restless nights but we got our 5th tooth as a result
We're off to Plunket on Thurs, can't wait to see his weigh etc. He was booked in to go last Mon but DP chickened out, made me re-schedule! I had to many questions to send with him hehehe!!
Yay for Haleigh winning I voted for her.
It's Lucas' turn on 6th June, he's sharing the week with Jakob...
It takes sooo long for their turn to come around! That photo is of his first smile at 6weeks! He'll be nearly 1 at voting time!!!
I just read about the lady who lost her wee (full term) twins the other night Extremely heartbreaking time for her & her family. I can't stop thinking about it
Our cat has gone missing Just about 3 weeks now. My DP is very upset about it, he was/is his cat. His name is Frank. Here's a pic....
Here is my new fav pic of Lucas...
Kylie, I looooove Lily's pic on the Magazine!! It's on our coffee table & I keep showing Lucas 'his friend'
I have another cake to make for Sat coming, a Turtle this time! And for the following weekend I have 2 cakes to make 1 for a wee boys Naming Ceremony & the other is for a 30th... eeeekk! Better get my thinking cap on !!
Well I best be off, Minardi is going to stay at her Pop's (my Dad's) place tonight, she ADORES them & going there! It's wonderful seeing her have the same great relationship with him that I did when I was a wee girl
Again, I hope you're all well & happy

Hey Jess aww that is such a gorgeous pic of Lucas, sad about Frank hopefully he turns up.
Man my little treasures still isn't here I can't wait to see wee Lily.
Hey mumtoElla Caprece has been the same with her sleeping, I don't know whats going on. She wakes between 4-5 I feed her and then she grizzles until 7 when I get her up and she needs to go straight back down to bed. She has even been refusing to have a day sleep unless I feed her to sleep too. I hope she gets over this soon because between her and Jack being sick I've heardly had any sleep.

Oh no chick hope kitty comes back, he's so beautiful.
Question for those of you who had bad reflux babies.
Um James had a slight reflux up until he was 5 months, but in the last 3 days he's been waking up screaming then vomiting everywhere.
He's been hard to settle but still eats and drinks normally and still happy and nappies all good.
Is this sounding like we're getting it back but worse?
I have had to change his cot, clothes and my clothes non stop and my floor has been mopped down more than its usual once a day.

Hmm thanks for that Kylie I might go email them now.

You manage to mop once a day? Reminds me I need to mop a little more often!!!
It must be a thing they go through (these restless nights). We had one 9.30pm wake up (and wouldn't settle without a bottle) and then the next night 10.30 AND 1am - and bottles both times But then she has gone back to sleeping thru
Yah - Laura must have got the memo about daylight savings - as she didn't wake up until 8.30 (which was actually 7.30 as we hadn't changed the clocks!)
I hope Frank turns up - I hate it when cats go missing

Daniel isn't phased at all by daylight savings either!
He's been a little bugger with eating again though. It seems once a month he has to make it difficult by not opening his mouth even if he is hungry.
His crawling has really improved though, he's using his legs more but definitely is a commando crawler.

Well we had an early start on Sun- Ella decided that 5.30 would be a good time to have a party . it does seem a bit strange that is so dark in the evenings....
Ella seems to go thru stages in her eating. A couple of weeks ago she was really hungry, but for the past week hasn't been very hungry at all.
She has started doing a few more steps now and is getting quite confident about staying unassisted....she seems to crawl a bit and then just stands up has a look around and carries on crawling. Her latest thing is trying to climb all over everything...she is getting pretty good about crawling up, but isn't so good about crawling down backwards.

Paige had her first day at daycare today and she had a great time. I struggled a little but not as much as I thought.
I hope Frank turns up. Unfortunately, part of the reason I wasn't so bad today with Paige going to daycare was because one of our cats is really unwell and I thought we would have to put him down but the vet is looking after him for a couple of days doing some extra tests (was sick 6 weeks ago and recovered but is obviously back) and see if he improves.
Paige is contantly pulling herself to standing now and is a speed crawler. She is so fast into things she knows she isn't supposed to, especially the cat biscuits
Well, I am starting work on Wednesday so looking forward to that but trying to get my brain to kick into gear. I am going to be shattered by the end of the week though!
As to eating, Paige is like her dad, eats most things. Other than when she was sick she hasn't refused food, she even pulls faces if she doesn't like something but still opens her mouth for more.

Thanks everyone, about Frank. Still no sign of him, very strange for him. I'm going to make up some flyers & pop them up at our local dairy. I just hope he's sitting on some old ladies couch being spoilt rotten!!
Daylight saving didn't cause us any worries (this time). Lucas wakes when DP gets up & they do morning stuff together while DP gets ready for work.
Shell I hope work goes well & I hope your cat is ok
Lucas is just like Paige, eats like his dad!! LOL!! He eats everything, and same as Paige didn't refuse food when he was sick
Once they get going they get into things sooo quickly!
Lucas pulls himself up & walks around the furniture.
Monique, we had a few vomiting episodes, but I think ours were because his head was so clogged up with gunk!
Is James to hot in his cot maybe? Lucas stirs about an hour after I put him to bed at night if I've rugged him up to much!
Speaking of that, I've kinda wrapped him at bedtime lately, partly because he thinks the top of the cot is the best place to sleep & we can't really get blankets on him properly up there! He sleeps sooo contently & is still in the same spot when I check on him throughout the evening.
I hope you all have a lovely day, it's a cooler morning here this morning.... might look at getting some wood for the fire soon... I LOVE WINTER

Thanks for the good luck wishes Jess, we should be getting a call from the vets this morning to see how he is.
And as to winter, we get our first delivery of wood today!!!! Yah, ready for when it hits.
Oh, and while I have time I should look at the photo gallery and upload some pics. I don't think I have been there for a couple of weeks, maybe up to a month!!!! Oops

Oooh, good luck for work tomorrow Shell, I am sure it will be great, but yep, you will be exhausted!
Now we are at 9 months there is a lot more Lily is allowed to have in her diet (like soy yoghurt) so food is so much easier now. PLus she is eating a lot more now.
Last night was our best in ages - asleep by 7.30, df at 10, awake for the day at 6.50 wiht no other wake ups!

Shell, I hope your cat is ok :( And Jess, that is so strange that Frank is no tback yet. Good idea about flyers, he could be locked in somewhere or like you say, a nice old lady might have thought he was a stray or something.
Monique, i have no idea about the reflux stuff. Is there anything on that cryingoverspiltmilk.co.nz site?

Hey guys, lots to catch up on. Have read all the posts but can't remember who is doing what. So hope the cat comes home and that the other cat is feeling better soon. We have lots of fur babies and they really are a big part of the family. Good luck with going back to work, i'm sure your brain will kick in once you are there. And yay Haleigh for winning.
Spencer has been eating better recently, not sure what his little episode was all about but am glad that it is over. He isn't very well at the moment, DH had a cold last week and I thought me and Spencer had escaped gettinng it but no I have been ill since Saturday and late last night Spencer woke up crying cos his nose was blocked and today he sounds awful, but is still full of beans Suppose to be at jumping beans today but am gonna keep him home, think he needs to have some quiet time. Don't think the other mums would appreciate me taking a sick bubba along either.
Spencer has just started moving forward in a commando crawl type way but he doesn't get very far on the carpet cos it's such hard work for him. Have put him on the tiles a few times but he doesn't move anywhere cos they are too slippery. (is quite funny to watch though). He has a bit of a fascination with the TV cabinet at the moment, he has started pulling on the doors but luckily he is pulling the handle down at the moment rather than out so it doesn't open. We have just moved the computer out of the lounge as well as I had visions of him grabbing the cables and pulling the laptop down on himself. He is getting really good at standing now and only needs a little support either from my fingers or by holding on to a bit of furniture. Perhaps he will walk before he crawls properly?
