I have heard a lot of good things about Pukete Kindy. Its been nearly 4 years since my youngest was at kindy so her one would have changed by now (ie teachers may have moved on), but hers was really good. But try Pukete, it does have a good reputation.

You might just have to ring around and find out what age they take them as some don't take kids until they are 3.

Yeah I think they usually don't start till 3 or 3.5 years? And usually they prefer to have them toilet trained ...but if hammy is anything like Auck there may be waiting lists so wouldn't hurt to apply ahead of time iykwim!

Good luck hun!

Good idea about phoning.

The kindy my girl went too was taking kids as young as 2 so long as they were toilet trained.

I hadn't clicked to the age of Tysmummy's boy, until I just looked at the ticker. Yes, he probably is a bit young. But you can always try a private kindy?

Ohh yeah Montessori - I've only heard raving reviews about that form of early education ...not sure how early they start either!

Wow 2 years old and toilet trained, where am I going wrong? lol...or is it generally only girls that are fully toilet trained by two?
