It was B&E's mum that put your scan dates in jay, I've been a little slack still keeping the list updated! Think she went back a page too far though cos the changes I made to scan and appt dates have disappeared... including both of mine... but np!
Added you into the 10th Sarahd
As for work, this time I'm a SAHM, so no PPL for me.. lol! But with Jae I was working f/time as an Admin asst at IRD for the investigations team and I had planned on leaving a month before (I knew I was having an elective, so thought I'd only be off for 3 weeks prior to arrival, but between my mw and hospital pi$$ing around, she came the day before EDD!) but after I ended up in hospital at 28 and 29 weeks (early labour scare, and fainting episode at work) we decided it was best I pack up at 32 weeks, so I ended up with an extra month, but unpaid.
Anja, my email is my username here at yahoo.co.nz feel free to add me, and once I get that, I'll confirm and invite to FB group Same to you too Bumblebee!
Just had some yummmm eye fillet steak for tea... hopefully that gets my iron up a wee bit, had lamb last night instead of chicken for the burritos Is it just me, or do I seem to tell you ladies what I have for dinner every night!?
PPL and fixed term contracts... unfortunately if your contract ends prior to the 14 weeks leave, your entitlement ends the date stated in your contract. so if you leave 5th March, and baby arrives 28th March, but your contract expired say 1st April, then your PPL entitlement runs out on the 1st April as thats the end date stated in your contract. If the end date is prior to 6 weeks pre-EDD, then you have nil entitlement.... I know that doesnt help, but thast how the dept of labour set it up, and most companies follow their rules, and dont really add much more to it.

Hi there everyone.
I've been following you girls for a week or so and was unsure if this was my thing but I thought you all seem such lovely people I would take the plunge and join in. I hope thats ok?
Well I'm due with baby number 2 on the 4th March. I have a daughter who is 3 next month and I think this one is a boy although I sort of want another girl.
I'm looking forward to getting to hear all your amazing pregnancy expirences and hopefully share some of my own.

Welcome scratchymay!
I am wide awake. So annoyed because I am tired and I was happily asleep but now both DH and the dog are snoring and I need to pee but too lazy to vet up just yet.
I have decided I have thrush (TMI) due to the antibiotics I was on last week. I always get it when I tAke antibiotics and I told the dr that when he prescribed them. I will go to the chemist tomorrow, it's driving me crazy with the itchyness! I refuse to pay $60 for another dr visit when I asked for it when he put me on antibiotics in the first place. Grrr
I seem to just start feeling better and I get hit with something else... Ah well suck it up.
BK I like hearing what everyone has for dinner, gives me ideas. I had stirfry but didn't really enjoy it.
Well best I go pee and try to go back to sleep. Night all

Invite sent Anja
Welcome Scratchymay! Are you going to find out what bubs is at the scan, or wait for a surprise at the end? I'm a bit mean this time, we are finding out, but only telling a few select people, the rest of them will have to wait til March
Has anyone picked Godparents yet? One of my best mates and her hubby (also a good friend) has been decided on, they have the same beliefs (or rather non-beliefs) as us, so I know that they will help keep this one on the same path They cant wait to meet bubs, and they are one of the few people who will know gender and DOA

Gah wrote a long post and lost it all. Bugger.
Anyway my Reach Me pack arrived today - will have to wait until we get home tonight to open it as it was on the doorstep when we left for work! Can't wait.
Think I'm getting sick again too Woke up with a sore scratchy throat and a headache. Oh well I've been well for a couple of weeks, must be about time for another illness! Can't have me actually enjoying any part of this pregnancy can we...
BK I don't think we'll be having godparents. I don't have any myself and just not sure what the purpose would be. Great if it's for some people, just not something we're into.

ooh so much to respond to today!
scratchy i like your teddy bear!
i made nachos last night but it turned out dismally.. was strange its normally the same but it just didnt taste good last night!
i have been thinking and thinking aobut godparents, i cant think of anyone i would want to be in that role other then my sister and her husband, but theya re aunty and uncle anyway so wouldnt really be godparents.. i think we will end up not picking any.. we dont really hae any close friends :(
ew i know this will gross some peopel out but want to know if anyone else is the same as me.. have had an awful post nasal drip since being pregnant, and yuck if i dont blow my nose first thing and end up swallowing some yuckies then it makes me vomit in the mornings:( sniff.. i'm so sick of it its constantly at the back of my throat and dont know how to get rid of it!!
hooray for being sick again bexta poor you at least your reach me pack will keep you happy for a while!!!
speaking of no sleep, i also had none heh.. woke up at 330am as my dad stayed last night and was leaving early, then i couldnt get back to sleep untill after 5.30 (alarm goes off at 6am!!) was thinking way too much and had bad gas (tee hee sorry) so was really sore and uncomfortable..
also gosh baby has been moving soo much the alst couple of days now! its actually almost tiring, from dinner time untill bedtime shes pounding away, sometimes quite sharply and it makes me jump! i didn tthink she would be able to reach but i sometmes she kicks quite low now and jabbed me in the cervix.. gosh i cant wait til shes bigger and her punches are even MORE powerful lol.. i do like it though as its incredibly reassuring, just gives me a fright sometimes with the big jabs..
hehe she must know i'm talking about her as shes just started up again.. she tends be really really active when her daddy is talking whic is funny.. when we have bedtime coversations he will put his hand on my belly and can feel her moving about now a lot easier..
anyway =very long post.. i shall get back to work and join you all back here at lunchtime again :)

Morning,
Babykatnz yes of course we will be finding out what we are having. I just need to know.
We are on count down. Scan is on the 14th Oct. DF tells me most days how many days until scan which is really cute. I'm really glad hes just ( maybe more ) excited as me. I just want to make sure bubs is ok as I haven't really felt any movement yet but I was told at my 12 week scan my placenta is anterior and can expect to feel baby later. Will be interested to see where it is at 20 week scan.
Anja22 I hope you enjoy your gallopping horse.
I didn't realize people still did Godparents BK, never crossed my mind.
I am very jealous of you girls that are feeling baby move. Its a lovely and reassurring thing.
Yay courier just delivered a parcel, baby stuff from the Bobux sale bye for now

Hi everyone,
It's been so long sinmce i have been on here, haven't caught up on all the post yet, but thought i'd just pop in and say a quick hi.
Hope evryone is well, can't beleive the anatomy scans are next month, i'm still going to keep it a surprise, hubby really wants to find out, but i'm so desperate to have a VBAC, and if i'm not allowed then i want some kind of a surprise, but i have a appointment at the hospital next Friday to go over my options, so we will see what they say........
Welcome to all the new mummy's
Sorry i have been so slack as of late, our youngest has decided that sleeping at night isn't the thing to do, and she won't tlet anyone but me comfort her (i'm still feeding, though only at night, so prob my own fault )
Take care ladies and will catch up soon, got to gp and pay some money off my vet bill....

ive been very lucky to never know the joy of having thrush.. now that ive said it i'm sure i'll get it, but its good to know there are yummy natural ways to get rid of it!!
scratchy your cute partner!! hehe countdown untill you find out if its a boy or girl he must be really excited!
yes i think i am just really lucky that my placenta is posterior, kind of hit and miss i guess but i could feel things from very early on (i think i'm abnormally sensitive lol)
we scored a box of 108 huggies for $30 bucks on tm last night, hurrah! we prob wont need to buy anymore for a while if we are using the cloth nappies also! hopefully will be able to get a cheapish basinette next, then i can start getting really nesty..
hmm should go and make my sandwhich for lunch.. feeling quite hungry.. would rather have some chocolate now but ah well.. should stay healthy as possible!! (which means i'll probably have some tomorrow heh)

Speaking of bassinettes... my cat was lucky not to have her ass booted from here to next month after i caught her sleeping in mine!! Looks like shes been doing it on the sly for some time as the sheets I left on it to protect the mattress from dust etc are absolutely caked in cat hair Its been sitting on top of DS top bunk since jae outgrew it, so not easily accessible either... PITA cat! Not entirely sure how I'm going to get it all off as the cover seems to be sewn onto the basket Nice score on the nappies!

oh dear cats eh!! found hierself a nice wee sneaky spot!!
our cats are a bit like that too, one in particular so we will have to keep the bedroom door permanently shut to keep her out!
hey you can use duct tape or sellotape to get the hair off, might take a while to get all the hair but it does work quite well on animal hair removal

Hi all, welcome to any newbies.
Just found out yesterday that mums cat, Taz, ( who used to be mine ), has got a tumor on his stomach and acute kidney failure. The vet has given him a shot of a 2 week anti biotic and some fluids and is hoping that sorts the kidneys out, if it does then they can do a biopsy on the tumor, but we are really not holding out much hope. He has perked up a little from the fluids and antibiotics, but if hasn't really changed much by next week, I think they are going to put him out of his misery. Poor thing, he is 10 years old and the most beautiful cameo coloured cat.
On a much brighter note, tomorrow we are off for a holiday in Tauranga till Sun. My friend moved up there about 3 years ago and I have promised ever since I would bring the family up to visit. Its taken awhile but we will finally get there. It is going to be sooooo great to get away from home for a bit! And I will have someone female to go shopping with!!! Yay!
And sorry BK if I mucked up the due date list, must have gone back a page too far.
It is blissfully quiet here at the mo, Blake is at mums for the arvo and DH has taken the dog to his mums for the rest of the week! ( she is a lovely hypo/barking jack russell/foxy x )

Welcome Scratchymay
I havent even thought about godparents, mainly because there arent many contenders for the title lol. We have a pretty small friends base and most of them are out of town and are around the same age so arent even considering kids. We would have to talk with them about it.
I havent even gone in for a ReachMe pack yet lol, mainly because I couldnt remember my midwifes name OR my OBs name. I have my OBs name now on a piece of paper in front of me so I'm going to request one
I need more sleep. I'm getting a tingle at the back of my throat so I'm just hoping it's a false alarm and not my body telling me I'm about to get sick again.
Ick, I woke up with the most horrible tummy ache last night. After a trip to the loo I felt a lot better if a little drained bit it wasnt a plesant wake up call. Had so much trouble getting to sleep afterwards. Probably didnt help that DF decided to randomly swap sides of the bed last night so I was sleeping on his side.
I was wandering around Baby factory earlier and I'm pretty sure I felt bubs give me a wiggle. I'm not feeling much at the moment but it'll come.
After last nights wakeup call, a kind of early start this morning and walking around shops for an hour or so, I'm absolutely knackered.
BK, we have to keep the door to bubs' room closed at all times otherwise our cat plonks herself in the cot and refuses to budge. I dont want her learning bad habits (ie cot is cat bed) but given half a chance she jumps in there! It's so annoying.
So sad about the cat B&EsMum.
Hope you enjoy the holiday
We need to do something about making wills as well. At the moment we dont have anything set in place like that.
Well I'm off to have a nap. I'm nodding off sitting here on the couch so I may as well make myself comfortable lol.

Hey ladies,
Just received my ReachMe package - wow, is more exciting than this christmas will be lol. I am in South Auckland, yet got the same Takapuna voucher for that hair place - mind you....it looks inviting!
Met with my MW again yesterday, who kicked my butt (somewhat nicely) for not organising the pre-birth class things, so we're all booked for December now. DH is gutted that its Saturday mornings lol.
There was an earlier discussion of what people do - I am a 'full time' 'mature' student, and I work for myself three days a week. I will work until I physically cannot (nice office bound job ), and will probably start back a few weeks after baby is born as I will take them into work with me - only a few days a week. To be honest im a bit gutted to be having to miss a semester at Uni, but guess I will catch up.
DH and I went to check out the local pre-school centre yesterday....made it so real....I even had a little cry! (very embarassing lol). Put baby's name down for July next year - feels very premature, but they fill up so fast! It was funny - not being able to fill half the form out yet! They were so understanding and helpful tho.
Whoever it was talking about thrush, I am quite susceptable to it, and have been worried a bit recently. MW yesterday told me to get some cranberry tablets and take them.
Hope everyone has enjoyed these last few days of sunshine!
Anyhew, need to put my nose back to the grindstone...my stupid assignments (unfortunately) won't write themselves....
