No worries, will find out for you.
I know how you feel about not telling your midwife you don't want to change that is the reason I didn't earlier on and then it was too late. I even worry about offending her by not using her next time or bumping into her and being asked why I haven't used her. Stupid I know, we haven't even decided when we will TTC#2 and I'm already worried about it.

I ma not even pregnat and if I text my m/w she will still reply or get back to me sometime. When we were in hospital with mikey he was one at the time she even texted back. and was not even in the country.   So yeah even if she a nice person if she no good at looking after you the way she should then I would change.

Aww Kawww, sucks about the problem with your midwife. Maybe have a talk to her and tell her you really need her to call you back as it's your first pregnancy and you need reassuring... make it really clear that when you contact her you want to be called back as soon as possible! If she isn't happy with that then I would try and find another midwife. It's her job to take your concerns seriously and make sure that you are ok (including not stressing about any part of your pregnancy).

My midwife has been really good, if I txt her, she always rings back the same day, or if I txt and say it's not important then she just txts me back. Sometimes when I ask her a question or say I have a worry, she pops over on her way to or from somewhere to see me in person. And when I was admitted to hospital, she came in to see me several times (even late at night on the first night that I was there).
Chloe (4 years) and Oliver (3 years).

That's pretty slack! I would be really annoyed. How does she know it's not something important if she doesn't return your call? My midwife always returns my calls even if it's later on that day & she has a pager as well for emergencies. I would talk to her about it again - I mean why would you bother to ring her if it was just something that could wait until your next visit? But I would also possibly look at changing. You don't have to tell your midwife you want to change if you don't feel comfortable with doing that. I would probably hold off & try & find someone else first & then they can handle the changeover for you.

my midwife was a bit like that, for her it was old hand which in some ways was good but other times it really drove me nuts but in the end she was excellent during the birth and exactly what i needed.
I wouldnt feel bad about changing though, you need to feel comfortable with your midwife and have confidence in them because you will need to rely on them during the birth and after.
