I parked in an elderly park the other day. I had to run in and grab a few things and was running late.. as usual All parents parks were occupied and NONE of them had carseats in them.. they were probably all old people!

The other day this old man was driving up our street reaaaaly slowly, people were beeping at him and overtaking.. it looked like he was trying to find a house or something.. so he stopped suddenly in the middle of the road, did a (slow) u-turn, then went slowly back the other way! Stopped on a bus stop and had the bus driver slamming his horn on too! I feel sorry for him but at the same time GRRRR! ok old person rant over.. most are sweet but some are just using their status to get away with things!

i was referring to the expectant parents parks at Centre city lenabeanz it my comment. Time and time again I see people with no huge bump norbabies as I would never of thought of parking there with my two older ones. even now I go and find another car park and I have a 'right' to park there. Probably when I get bigger I shall park there but at present I just feel stink cause I can hide my bump (not for long.) and people might think I shouldn't be using them.

Must admit though its nice to be reconised that it is harder as you get bigger to get in and out of car parks.

we have a few car parks that have signs on them for expectant mums but even if they dont I park in the parents park even if I dont have Kobe. If I see a free normal park I will go for that before a parent park but yesterday when it was so busy I thought why take up a park that someone else can use when this parents one is about to be free.

I'd never even thought of a parent's park... now that I do, I'm sure I've seen a couple outside a mall here - fantastic idea (as I've been struggling with getting in and out of narrow parks - the car has low seats and huuuuge long doors so they have to be swung quite wide for me to hoist myself out with my arms).  And don't get me started on the 'old people' rant or you'll be here for a while!  Drives me nuts when one generation abuses their position over the rest of us and I don't think being elderly is any excuse to be so rude and bossy.  We wouldn't think to excuse teens for being arrogant and abusive to others just because of their age!  Crazy.  Maybe it's a bad thing that I know about the parent parks now, 'cause when I'm bigger and brave enough to use them, no doubt I'll meet lots of people there who shouldn't be in them...   let the preggo-fuelled rants begin (mwah ha ha haaaaa)
