Don't worry, neither do I, but Claire (my sis) swears it is where all the cool kids hang out. Maybe *that's* why I don't get it

Facebook is a social networking website much like Bebo or Myspace.. the young un's seem to like the other ones better, so facebook is sometimes known as the grownup version of these sites..
People can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profile to notify friends about themselves and post photo albums... all sorts of stuff. And most importantly you can lock down your profile so complete strangers can't see anything unless you add them as a friend.
I am amazed at how many old school friends and work colleagues I have caught up with through the site.. It's a bit of fun really..

Ermmm... sign up and add friends. DON'T add applications (IMO)
It sorta links you through friends of friends so it is amazing who you can find.
But other than that... same as all the rest of the social networking sites!

Bebo is not nearly as good as facebook! Facebook is definately the "adult" version of Bebo and I agree don't add applications, just ignore them!

You aren't that old Deb, my dad is almost 50 and has a bebo page.
I pick and choose the apps I have, some are cool.

I actually like some of those applications, especially the games and the quizzes are good for a laugh. I've managed to catch up with old flatmates and school friends and people I used to work with. It's also a good way to keep in touch with my cousins who live away from Auckland.

I don't like Bebo - I find it very user unfriendly (but maybe I'm just too old). I like Facebook though - although I ignore applications now because I have too many and I've started removing a few.

I far prefer FB.
I like the chat they've just added to it, too.
The most fun (IMO) part is seeing what the "popular" kids from school are up to now, and for the most part, feeling a little smug that they're still living at home and doing the same supermarket job they were doing 10 years ago (for example).
Oh dear, bitch level on high tonight
