So maybe I'm normal after all. I guess we did used to talk about it more when we were younger. Maybe it's just not such riveting conversation when it's always with the same person? Or maybe we have less to prove now that we've settled down and had kids. Or maybe we just have more important things to talk about |

What I wanna know is why we're still awake at midnight?! I thought I was all alone here (altho I spotted Sterryn a few minutes ago). I so need to go to bed!

Because we are mad DH and Sam are both in bed sleeping and I am wide awake darn it!
Emma, my DH and I are quite happy to joke about sex but have a rule about the TMI. The rule is that he can't say anything he wouldn't be happy to say to his mother. Works a treat! |

obviously it's more "private" when its with someone you love? As opposed to some random from the weekend before who you might hook up with again and "sort of see" if you see him the next weekend?

Mikes family are very open.. so much so that mostly it's alot of talking and joking and a fair few off-the-cuff kinda comments.
Ie.. imagine being 17, your boyfriend boarding with his aunty, who obviously put 2 and 2 together the 1st time you stay overnight there.. later that day you go to meet his grandparents with him and to have them make jokes about "finally getting his end away".. omigod talk about wanting the earth to seriously open up and swallow me. Nothing is sacred. I think you have to have a very open mind, definately have learnt not to take things to heart and to laugh about it as a funny subject, not something to be all staunch about.. It's not TMI kinda talk, but definately am happy that they don't have the big family get togethers often and are usually adults only. They keep it relatively clean talk around the kids.

In saying that, my family kinda jokes around as well.. a few years back me and mike got my older sister and her hubby some love dice and flavoured condoms and a joke gift for xmas (we did get them some other gifts but they had been both complaining about the lack of "it" so we thought it'd be funny)

   I talked about it once.
Then I hit puberty.
 Found my wife.
Now we talk about it all the time!

It seems to me that modern teenagers learn about sex much earlier than we did in our time. These are the children of the times of Internet communication. There are special sites where young people can find each other and chat openly - https://strip2.xxx/ I do not think it is possible to control this, therefore I limited myself to talking about the safety of such meetings. However, I know a lot of adult men and women who prefer to look for a couple in the online format)
