Topic: Signs Posted: 25 July 2008 at 2:34pm |
Well i have never been one for signs, and i'm not the most observant poerson but here is where i am at. When i got pregnant with Sarah i managed to convince myself that i was not pregnant as even though my period was late i convinced myself i had mucked up my dates, also two poeple told me they were pregnant in as many days so i just figured that i was imagining things, wishful thinking and all that. Finally when i was about 3 weeks late (yeah i did a good job of convincing myself that i was imagining things) i went and brought a pregnancy test, go home to take it and discovered i had locked myself out of the house, had to wait nervoiusly at the neighbours for an houw while hubby came home.
So now Sarah is 7 months old and this is what is happening. I am onthe mini pill, have been for 6 months, have had 6 months subscriptions so far and have 1.5 months of pills left, ie i am pretty crap at taking pills. I have had a lot of breakthrough bleeding (probably from being crap at taking bills), esentially have had a period every two weeks. Lately everyone i know either has had a baby or is pregnant, Two of my friends have told me stories about new parents who thought they were pregnant unintentionally again, good news neither actually were, at the time i laughed these stories off as being quite funny, both were told to me two weeks ago when my period was due. I think i am now at about week 5 or 6 in a row with no period. So i decide that i will go and get a pregnancy test today, go to the car to drive to get one and discover that my husband had left the internal light on and i cannot go anywhere.
So now this is driving me nuts, still think its all in my head but just remember that last time i thought this i was pregnant. Can't ask my husband to pick me up one as he will think i am nuts, i am starting to think i am nuts.
I think i just needed to share this

Thanks Peace, The only thing i want to work out is if i can have a friday night beer with my husband.
Its not the end of the world if i am pregnant; and its not the end of teh world if i am not; its the waiting to find out thats killing me and convincing myself that i'm not imagining things.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!

its a very long walk up and down a hill, i am thinking of sweering the neighbour to secrecy and picking one up on the way to basketball training (she comes with me), however that will mean parking my husbands huge truck thing, what time are chemists open till?

Aww good luck either way. I had a similar thing happen, was on the mini pill with terrible breakthrough bleeding. I stopped taking it and waited for AF to arrive so I could chart to avoid pregnancy but AF never came and now i have a ratbag one year old.

Supermarkets sell pregnancy test s so you could always say to the neighbour that you just have to stop and get a couple of things - justg make sure you come out with something ie bread, shampoo etc

BFN finally got it done today. My period must still be settling down. A real mixture of feelings though, part of me was very relieved, part of me a little sad!
