Topic: Something I have to say Posted: 24 December 2007 at 10:14pm |
Ok a while back I posted something really nasty, i'm not going to post it again but I feel really guilty about it and can't shake the guilt so I really want to apologise again and try and explain myself.
Firstly I was so not thinking when i posted and I don't even think that. I think working/studying mums are amazing and I sometimes feel like I have to explain myself since I'm just a stay at home at mum. I know a lot of you ladies had a hard time putting your babies into daycare and I don't think for a second you guys are bad mums. If we could afford it Jack would probably be in daycare.
The reason I wrote it was because even tho the comments weren't directed at me I got this burst of anger since me and the person they were directed at have a similar situation (same age, unplanned prenancies etc). I suppose I probably showed my age my lashing out the first insult I could think of and it was such a stupid thing to say. I said what I said because it was honestly the first thing that came to mind. I feel really bad because well it wasn't directed at me and I think I took the whole thing the wrong way anyway.
So to those I offended I'm truely sorry and I hope you have a great Christmas tommorrow.
To those who have no idea what i'm on about Merry Christmas

Don't beat yourself up too much about it- the gloves were already well and truly off in that thread. You retracted it and apologised pretty quickly which is alot more than most do. Its a brave thing to admit your mistakes and nice too see someone with the good graces to apologise.
We've all said things we didn't mean in the heat of the moment.
Merry Christmas

Stupid new pymouth weather.
Well Rach Good on you you might have shown your age then, but you are certainly showing your maturity it take avery humble person to write that so good on you and don't beat yourself up anymore for it. Have a great christmas.

I remember reading your original post and, as a working mum, being taken aback by it. I didn’t want to post anything at the time as the thread wasn’t one I wanted to get involved in so it’s certainly nice to read this.
Merry Christmas!

I know what you meant Rach, and why you said it. Forget about it, that thread was nasty and best forgotten! The fact that you obviously feel so bad about it to make this apology and explanation is more of an indicator of your personality than any remark made in the heat of the moment. I haven't thought any less of you since - we all say things we regret and unfortunately the nature of these boards is that it is then out there and everyone can see it!
Hope you're having a merry christmas. Ditto what Nikki said!
