Topic: The waiting is over! Posted: 22 February 2006 at 8:08am |
My waters broke this morning at about 5am, and I've been having contractions ever since. Looks like the waiting is finally over and my baby is on his way! I don't know why I'm so calm, but I am. I should probably be doing other things rather than internet stuff, but it keeps my mind occupied.
Handy tip no-one mentioned to me:
If your waters break, it's gonna be messy (sorry, TMI). Be sure to have at least 5 pairs of underwear on hand, and LOTS of maxi pads. It's not easy to find maxi pads at 6am when the only place open is the local service station, and they only stock tampons.
Wish me luck!

Lol... I sat on a towel in the car on the way to the hospital. Didn't wanna leak all over my mum's leather upholstered car!!!! (or maybe she didn't want me to... I forget)
