i can't imagine that it would be harmful, but ask your midwife and/or beautician.

im sure treasures had a thing in their magazine a while ago what was okay to do during pregancy. Im sure fake tan was fine but that might be a little differnt to the spray on. I know in the what to expect while your expecting book it advises to not dye your hair during pregnancy. I didnt when i was pregnant with Alyssa but i got foils when i was pregnant with Jayde. my reasoning was that it didnt touch my scalp.

I heard the dying hair thing was not because it harmed baby or anything but because the dye doesn't stay in your hair as well??? Is this true???
heeeeehehehehe I would need sooo much Natural Glow to cover all my pale skin!! PMSL

I dyed my hair both times - just made sure the room was well ventilated to make sure i didn't breathe in the fumes etc, funny thing is - you don't really think about half the other stuff you splather on yourself every day - shampoos, make up, moisturisers, hair spray, - working with cleaning products, EVERYTHING. How many people use moisturisers that have all the vitamins in them and when you look at the ingredients you are putting heaps of vitamin A etc all over you every day to be absorbed through the skin? i think it's about moderation really... everything we use has chemicals etc in it,

I talked to my hairdresser about it a while ago and she said it is because the chemicals can be absorbed thru your scalp. But hairdressers themselves keep working when they are preg, and they are around chemicals all the time? I didn't cut or color my hair when I was preg, but thats a cultural thing not a physical/risk thing.
Don't know about the spray tan, but when I think about everything Maya was exposed to like general anasthetic, xray, huge amounts of antibiotics and painkillers and she turned out fine, so what harm can a one-off spray tan be?
