Topic: What helps you cope on fat days? Posted: 01 February 2008 at 8:07pm |
Today I feel yuck. Hideous and YUCK. I've been feeling off and super super tired all week and today I'm having a fat day just for good measure. A VERY fat day. The only thing that comes close to making me feel better is water. Swimming in it or drinking it (out of the tap not the pool) and having clean teeth . I was supposed to go and buy a dress and some shoes tonight for a wedding tomorrow but I nearly cried at the thought so I'll have to go first thing in the morning.
Oh fooey.

Baggy clothes, unfortunately chocolate doesn't really help with fat days.

This is my worst fat day ever. Can't say I like it much.
I can't even find anything on TV to watch. Hopefully DH will be home from work soon so that I have someone to play with.
Thanks Becks, better make it a big one.

Milo? I just try to look ahead because I know on the fat days is usually just because of women issues not necessary because I'm big. I usually have a fat day on my first day of AF for example. So I know if I just ride through it, I'll lose the extra fluid within a couple of days and be back to 'normal'.

Tell myself that tomorrow is another day to do something about it and use it to strengthen my resolve. Oh and find totally baggy clothes!
I used to do the chocolate thing but found it made it worse and then I'd beat myself up even more.
How about you treat yourself to something non food...a manicure, pedicure or facial??
Fat days suck though...

Oh bugger I hate those days. I hope you are feeling better and managed to get out to the shops this morning.
I'd say do your nails, a face mask or even having a bath then put on some yummy smelling body cream. A little treat just for you can do wonders to get you out of that head space.

A nice cup of tea and a magazine (grown up one without too many thin models or mentions of diets - hard to find )
If all else fails, chocolate

aw Miss angel, depending on the age, most kids just have a way of noticing things and not knowing how to phrase things that don't come off as offensive as the receiver feels it to be.
