Topic: Do you have more than 1 child? Posted: 01 February 2009 at 5:49pm |
Michaela came 5 days early and I'm curious whether that has any bearing on how long this baby will stay put for. Those that have more than one child can you tell me whether each of them was early, more or less on time or late.

Leah was 3 and a half weeks early and Joel was 10 days early. Had a scare at 3.5 weeks early with Joel as well but that calmed down and he stayed put. I "knew" with leah I would go early and thought I would with Joel too but had hoped to get closer to ETA.

My boy, Dominic, came four weeks early and we were expecting a similar outcome with Isobelle but she ended up coming at 38.5 weeks. They were very different pregnancies though and Dominic engaged a month before he came, two months before he was actually due. Isobelle was a much smaller baby and I actually had to have my waters broken to progress the labor. Most women I have talked to about labor and birth have said that it has been very different each time.

I had no idea if Alia was early or late but according to the dates she was born at 38.5 weeks. I always thought she was cooked.
I was certain Cooper was going to be on time if not over due & he was born at 39.1 weeks & we knew his dates were bang on.
So maybe she was bang on for dates as well?

Ashlyn was 11 days over & we went into labour but ended with c-section, Anastasia was 12 days over after 3 days of trying to induce with no luck so ended with section, they wanted to book me a 39 wks for section with this one & I told them to back off and managed to get 2 within 4 days of due date

Carys was (apparently) 2 weeks, nearly 3 over due. Got induced with her and after long labour had c section.
I think my dates were wrong with her.
This baby according to my LMP is due on 11th Feb, but 3 scans have said the 21st so I'm sticking with that date as I dont want another 'early' induction IYKWIM.
SO who knows

jake was two weeks over and induced(waters broke), and taine was 10 days over. having said that, both dates were estimated in japan. jake was born overdue but did not look like an overdue bub at all. and taine was 10 days over but same thing - both were 7lb and just under so not huge either....dunno

Both boys 1 week early (both inductions). Andrew was on time for me but when he came out my MW said he is def a week early. And Josh was 1 week early for hospital dates but bang on for my dates and he was on time by my MW.

My SIL had her first at 36 weeks, a week ago she had her second and she was a week over due! We were all expecting that the second baby would be early like the first. Not sure if it makes any difference but first bubs was a girl second was a boy

Doesnt seem to be much of a pattern...
Keira was one day late (more like 7 hours)
Maddi was 3 days late.
Its hard when you dont really go over the first time and you expect it to be the same second time around. Made for a very long 3 days waiting for Maddi.
