Hi lovely ladies! I'm officially back, and back on the TTC wagon am super pleased I decided to take the holiday period off TTC as it was super busy and stressful, I couldn't imagine having a transfer and/or another IVF round during it all! But I am CD3 today and have started my progynova in preparation for the transfer of our one embie from our last IVF collection - transfer should hopefully be in a couple weeks time I've been taking a new pill other than elevit that someone suggested to me, it's blackmores conceive well gold - anyone used this one before? It has all the main ingredients in it that elevit does plus the Coq10 and fish oil etc. I don't think the folic acid is as high though so am wondering if I also take a lower dose of just a folic acid tablet aswell. Anywho, I've had a quick skim back on the last couple of pages. Star so so super happy to read your little girl arrived safely! Bet you are enjoying every single moment with her (sleep deprived or not haha) Kumeroa so happy for you too, fantastic news your scan has gone well. Here's hoping you lead the way to more good news in here! A.girl lovely, how are you holding up? How many DPO are you now? Sweetpea I might have missed it, but when is your transfer! I have everything crossed super tightly for you hun! Libi so sorry to hear it's been tough for you so far! Fingers crossed your signs are all good signs! When will you take a pregnancy test? ADN - congrats on being PUPO!!! Hoping this little one is your sticky one! Sorry if I missed anyone else am hoping 2017 is going to be the magical year for us all! xx

Storm, they make me feel numb some days, would rather just hide. Other days emotional or grumpy or tired but can't sleep..... Last time i didn't really notice any difference but DH said that i had change a lot on them. Wasn't until i was off them that i realised that i had changed.

Thanks HT Oh Sweetpea that's interesting... I may start to pay a little more attention to how I'm feeling on them LOL I was thinking before I'm super tired (for someone who always gets at least 8 hours sleep a night!) and have actually been a bit on the snappy side last few days, aswell as emotional huh... might be them after all

Hi All! Well I'm back after our first failed IVF cycle I needed to take the holiday period to re group! Had my appointment with FA today to sort what's next and looks like there are 2 options either have a saline scan to make sure my uterus is all normal as when I had my lining scan check they thought there was a polyp even though it had just been removed 2 weeks earlier and the doc is confident she got them all so most probably onto my next round with increased drug dosage. However she did want me to be aware it looks like it could be an egg quality issue so if this cycle turns the same as the first we need to look at an egg donor which just blows my mind , so I'm feeling pretty down right now with the whole process
I've read the pages I've missed and good luck to everyone for the different stages your all at and congrats to star and kumeroa

I think I might be Sweetpea.... Faith welcome back - I too needed the "re-group" holiday period so I hope it's been good for you. Did FA suggest having any further testing done to see if it is egg quality? Just wondering rather than going straight into donor? Interesting that you mention that too, over the holidays I met up with a friend of mine who works in the Health sector and she had been talking about my situation to a couple of doctors and they straight off the bat said sounds like an egg quality issue the more I look into it myself the more it makes sense with all my losses being the exact same etc. But still on to my FET's for me although I am doing all I can now to increase egg quality just in case this FET fails and we go into our next (and last covered ) IVF round.

Hey storm yes it was good!
First the doc seemed positive about the next round said my preg hormone increased a bit last time so thinks this time it will work, but then while reading the notes on the eggs and how I went from 5 fertilizing to only having one to transfer that's when she brought up the subject of egg donor and said we would look into that more if this next round didn't work. She said there was nothing they could do to improve the eggs that the endo had most probably damaged them, is there something I can do to improve it?

Welcome back Faith! It's funny I was just thinking of you and wondered how you were getting on with everything. Glad you had an appointment and you have something to move on. Makes it hard when they are unsure on what it could be but trying will be a start I guess. My work colleague was having pains in her left ovary last week and went to the doc to check it out. They did a HPT and was negative but didn't do bloods and they sent her for a scan to check if her endo was bk. Scan showed nothing on the ovary. Yesterday got a text to say she was in hospital and they suspect ectopic pregnancy. She has surgery last night and lost her left tube I really feel for her. She even asked if it could be ectopic with the doc and we talked about it too, crazy how fast things can change.

Welcome back Faith! Tough pill to swallow regarding the egg donor. I know that when we found out we had to use a sperm donor it took a good few months to get to the point that we were ok with it. There were countless discussions around the pros and cons and how it would make us feel in the long run. BUT fingers crossed you don't have to go down that track!! Who is your doc at FA Chch?
Sweetpea, your poor work colleague - that's no fun for her at all!
Hi to everyone else :)
AFM, i'm still waiting patiently (Or not so if you ask my husband) for us to come to the top of the funding list and for a donor to become available. One of the hardest parts at the moment is the amount of pregnancy announcements! Last week at work alone there were four!

Sure is sweetpea, and then i get the questions - when are you going to have a baby? Are you going to start a family soon? rah rah rah! I have a stock standard answer at the moment "Maybe in 5 years time" haha.
Feels good having you ladies here that understand how frustrating it feels!

Gosh sweetpea your poor workmate things can really change quickly with eptopics huh. Hope she's going to be ok. Katie wow that's alot of people pregnant at your work. Always one of the hardest parts I reckon. Faith that interests me. My first round I went from 5 fertilised to 1 to transfer, second I went from 11 to 6 to transfer and this time was exactly the same as the first round, my doctor has never brought up the subject of egg donor before though. Maybe it's coming as my last round he wanted to have my embryos tested but we only got the one to day 5. I'm still convinced it's now an egg issue for me and wonder if that's a path we may need to take down the track. I'd decided this year though to start off improving my egg quality (even if it's not yet proven that that's the issue, can't hurt anyway right) rather than focus too much on other parts. Might seem strange given that I am about to do a transfer, but while trying to be very positive about it, I'm still preparing myself for the usual outcome. I don't know exactly what's best for egg improvement but from what I've read I'm just eating more antioxidant rich foods everyday and am taking conceive well gold which has all the same stuff as elevit aswell as CoQ10 fish oil selenium DHA etc I'm also taking another CoQ10 tablet though just to up the dosage a bit - at this point I think anything is worth a go lol I'm not sure how it all works with endo though Faith with regards to how it affects egg quality.

Your poor work colleague sweetpea that's rough!
Hi Katie we are with Angela Beard but have seen all of them at one stage or another , usually Michelle does our scans and Sarah did my surgery. Angela only works one day a week so it makes things tough getting info and appointments!
Yeah they asked if I had a sister (which I don't) or a friend that would help but asking someone to basically go through ivf to help us is a massive ask and there don't really seem to be random egg donors around. Feeling a bit better today just trying to concentrate on the next round rather than think about what might have to happen.
When are you due at the top of the list Katie?
Storm just seen your reply! Yeah it's a confusing numbers game! Thanks for the info I will do some research!

Hey Faith, do you have an email? Or how do we chat privately over here? Just have something i want to run past you.
That does make it hard with Angela only working one day a week! We are with Catherine Conway.
They asked my husband if he had a brother but we decided against that option pretty quickly. Asking someone to go through IVF for you is a big ask but if it comes to that i'm sure there will be an option available.
We are due to come up early Feb but who knows if it will be feb - i have a feeling that it won't be until March

Hey guys first time posting, long time lurking. I'm just coming up to 12 months TTC now. I have severe endometriosis, have had five lots of surgery and am thinking it's not going to happen for us.have done cycle monitoring and the nurse has suggested we go in to see the specialist. Can anyone tell me what to expect from here? Is there anything other than IVF they can do? I'm so scared of IVF. Also, we are in Chch and I saw on the criteria for funding that you must have a BMI under 32-does this apply to partners? My husband has a BMI of 34. Any comfort or advice appreciated. Every one else seems to be getting pregnant at the drop of a hat, it's making me prettt miserable with envy as much as I try not.
