We get $71 from WFF its not much will fill up the car for the week.
Also on that we qualify for subsidised child care, so I'm going to use the 2nd 6 months or maternity leave, to study and attend lectures, already found out Massey Childcare Rates, and WFF will cover 12 hours (or 4 sessions) not that i need that much. But it all helps.
Then when I go back to work I can apply for a Valuer position and have more $$ and flexible working hours.

If I go back to work full time, child care will be $200 plus a week, which doesn't leave much over by the time the mortgage is paid.
We're waiting to get the car loan reduced too, I'm working back 9 months from when the last payment is due.

Hrmm, we'll be using daycare for about 8 days a month it worked out - Tuesdays and Thursdays. The rest of the time will be DF's mum - that's if DF still has to work, and not for his parents. I hate to think when we would have kids if we had to pay fulltime daycare fees

Unfortunately for us our families live in different cities, be useful during school holidays but we're pretty much on our own. I do have some very clucky friends with older kids though, and sure they'd be happy to look after a baby for a few hours.
Feilding has some good daycares, and I've met some lovely ladies that do home based care, couple of them are my age makes it easier to relate to.
I want to get into Puddleducks eventually as they are next to the school that we will send our children to.

Fleur if you go to Puddleduck you will have to factor in disposible nappies as they have a no cloth policy (I tried to talk the owner around but she was a witch about it) (and replace the W with B).

Wow I was on here at lunch time and since then 3 more pages - definately a lot of chatter!!
I was going to have a grumble about how bad my day was, that I sometimes feel unappreciated as a SAHM, no thanks, no sense of achievement unless you count hanging out 2 loads of washing (woohoo ), a boy who only had 1 nap of 45mins which meant I didn't get much done that I wanted to.
And then I come on here and read all your posts about having to go back to work because you have to rather than you want to and I feel like such an a*s for feeling so sorry for myself. Yeah I did have a bit of a bad day but I spent it with my boy so really it wasn't so bad, and really I am very lucky.
Now I am feeling really soppy and I can feel the water works welling up. Have already cried at least a couple of times during the news tonight! Soppy cow that I am.

If you want to have a rant Lindsey you go ahead!
I think we all appreciate that being a SAHM is the hardest job in the world (and yes - some of us would give all 4 of their limbs to be one too) but I can definitely appreciate that you have bad days too, so go ahead hun
My day sucked too - I've been home all week with a rotten flu bug and ran out of nice tissues and had to use the toilet roll, now my nose is red raw and peeling! I look HOT!

I agree, go ahead and rant... I have and would feel terribly guilty if I was the only one taking advantage of our joint goals to talk through things going on in my head.
Ick Toni, I hope you feel better soon.

Eew, toilet paper for tissues! That's what I resort to at school cause the kids take my tissues!
My day was quite uneventful. Took Brenna to the docs and her ears have finally cleared up after 3 back to back rounds of antibiotics - phew!
Tonight she's at the IL's so tomorrow is a sleep in

 yus!
Blardy cycle projector on FF is showing my CD1 too early in October so we'd end up with a June baby which just can't happen so I changed my ticker to the next cycle which now feels like a million years away!!!!! *whinge moan complain*
Ahh well, I'll look on the brightside (I suppose!!!!) and see it as more time to sell anything and everything that doesn't move on Trade Me to get us more funds in the baby #2 savings account

That's a great idea Toni to make a few extra $$. I should do that but can't think of what to sell. What are you selling?

Brent (DH)
Seriously though, we have a whole bedroom full of "stuff" that needs to go. A little while ago I almost sold my breast pump (Isis IQ Uno) but I just couldn't do it, weird aye?
I'm not selling any of Caitlin's baby stuff as most of the NB-00 stuff was from the UK and really good quality (thanks Mummy )

I don't think I could pay anyone to have mine at the moment. He is a broken army man .
I love the UK stuff. Andrew and Josh get a few outfits every year from my friend over there and from my sister and I love them. Such good quality stuff.
