Hey there. I asked my midwife and she told me I could stop at the end of 14 weeks.  So you should be ok. Some people take them throughout their whole pregnancy but I havnt. I was told it was only important when baby is developing in the first 14 weeks.

Okay well I was pretty slack the whole way through, never really took them. But doctor said when prescribed them that the 1st 12 weeks was when to take them.

I must admit I didn't remember everyday either only most days! I feel a little better knowing there are others with shoddy memories!

I think I will take mine until they run out which is probably another couple of weeks - I am just past the 12 week stage now.

I stopped taking mine when I started on Elevit which has the recommended daily intake anyway. And I will take these right through the pg. But yeah I think its only beneficial in the 1st tri when the baby grows all the major organs etc!

My midwife told me I could stop taking them once I reached the second trimester. Alternatively she said I could keep taking them just to finish off the bottle but ultimately it wouldn't make much difference by that stage.

I took them for *most* of the first trimester, when I could keep them down that is !! I've only just started taking them again, mostly because they have helped me feel a bit less exhausted and I know they are OK because they are geared for pregnancy (Elevit).
