Lol, I always keep up with the washing, can't stand it piling up, and it's the easiest and nicest house cleaning job for me I love the smell of nice fresh washing! But nappies are always first priority.

i know exactly how you feel!! I'm still in the researching stage too and seriously overwhelmed by the options. everybody seems to have a different favourite and the only nappy hire kit i can get down here isn't very extensive in its selection... i'm just going to head to the expo in hamilton this weekend and see what they've got

There are also demo kits around the country. Might be a good idea to get a demo from someone so you can get your head around what modern nappies are all about and ask questions etc.

i found it hard to get my head around it all too when i was looking into getting cloth naps. but honestly, the best way to learn is to try something and if it doesn't work out, try something else. as you said gypsynita, everyone has their faves.

that's the great thing about mcn's...you can re-sell them if they aren't working out.

The hire kit I used could be sent all around the country. It was the Kete Kope one which had heaps in it and was $80 for 8 weeks, incl courier both ways.

I felt the same, I ended up making a spreadsheet with all the prices and stuff (this was 2 years ago so no where near the selection) but never really got into it. This time round I just took the plunge and bought a few of the cute looking cheap ones and went from there.
