If you're breastfeeding then you may not get back until you stop. For a friend of mine it took a year for hers to return.

just a little worried as i did have unprotected sex with my partner, but i heard that breast feeding can decrease the risk of getting pregnant.

Hmmmm it's been 8 1/2 month and counting now for me, still bf and still no af.
But my sister was bf and didn't find out she was pregnant with number 6 until she was 5 month along. So i don't think bf is that good as a contraceptive.

It's not a reliable contraceptive but while you're exclusively bf (no formula or solids) your chances of getting pg are very slim.

mine came back at around 8 months and i only bf until 6 months. enjoy it while it lasts...
it is not a trustworthy contraceptive so i will use protection if i where you.
you also get a pill - Microval - that is safe for bf. you just need to take it at exactly the same time every day. i had to set an alarm to remember LOL

I can't remember how long mine took to arrive back but I think around 6 months??  Though seriously, using breastfeeding as a contraception is the method many large families used!  It only decreases your chances of getting pregnant.   |
