I don't know if anyone remembers me writing a post a few months back about getting a $3.5k bill from IRD? It was because both me and Ben were paid WFF both called different things so no way of us knowing we were being overpaid. Anyway I told my sister and she got all mad about it and wrote a letter of complaint for me and I just got a letter today saying they will wipe the bill

I'm so pleased because there was no way we were going to be able to come up with that sort of money by Feb. It was also great because they accepted it wasn't our fault yay go IRD

Yay IRD - it happened to me but it was child support they over paid (or paid me when i was on benefit) and I had rung to ask if the money was mine - yep was the answer everytime i asked if it was... so i spent it and then got a letter requesting i pay it back as i wasn't suppose to have it. I rung and complained had to write a letter and they wrote it off - yay...

so yay for IRD and your sister

Yay sometimes they do good. They did that to us as well just before xmas.

I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived!
